With all the things that Isaac Newton did some of his most renowned works was with that of gravitation. Newton was one of the foremost scientific intellects so fall time. Newton is also considered one of, if not the most influential astronomers of all time (web 1). Besides his contributions to this field he gave physicists an easier way and more comprehendible way of doing physics. This was due to these three laws that he came up with that where named after him. They were as follows:
Newtonís First Law
A body at rest will remain at a rest or a body in motion will remain in constant motion unless a force is applied to it.
Newtonís Second Law
F=ma
(Force= Mass x Acceleration)
(One of the most used equations in physics)
Newtonís Third Law
For every force there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Newtonís first law applies to anything that is in motion or standing still. It goes on to say that everything will stay the way it was unless a force is applied to it (Holliday). Like a ball will stay in one place forever if nothing ever applies a force to it. Newtonís second law applies to just about every single equation that we use today in physics. This equation gives us the acceleration due to gravity, 9.8 meters per second. It is also used in every equation that has a mass in it because it gives the weight of the mass when it is derived. Newtonís third law is basic common sense that says that when something gives a force there is an equal force being applied to it. Like when you push on a wall the wall pushes back with the same force and also the earth pulling down on you, you are pushing on the earth(web 3). Besides these three laws that Newton gave us he also gave us the reason behind why the moon doesnít fall out of the sky (web 4).
Newtonian World
To understand some of the principles in this paper you have to understand some of the language that is used in physics. One term that is used is ìin a Newtonian worldî. This refers to the fact that a lot of Newtonís principles only work if there is no friction at all.
Newton’s Law the first law being an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction. In this movie I would say that Newtons 3rd Law came into effect. That being for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction which states for every force there is an equal and opposite force.

When in space, Newtons first law is very obvious. When an object in space is set on a course, it stays on that course unless it is acted upon by some outside force. Newtons first law is also present in every day life here on earth. The place where we may experience it the most is in our vehicles. If you are driving your car down the road and you come to a sudden stop, then you are going to go through the widshield unless you are wearing a seatbelt! The reason that you keep moving is because some outside force has stopped your car, but it has not stopped you. This may be a good reason to wear your seatbelt. This concept is also know as inertia.

The three laws of motion are three rules that explain the motion of an object. The first law is the law of inertia. It states that every object remains at rest unless it is compelled by an external force. The second law is the law of acceleration. This law shows when there is a change in force, it causes a change in velocity. Finally, the third law states that every force in nature has an equal and opposite reaction. His discovery in calculus help confirms his second law of motion. Calculus also gave Isaac Newton powerful ways to solve mathematical problems. Lastly, for the color spectrum, he produced a beam of light from a tiny hole in a window shade. He placed a glass prism in front of the beam of light creating a color spectrum. After learning about the Hermetic tradition it influenced him to look at a different perspective into his discoveries and theories. It is said that while Isaac Newton was thinking about the forces of nature, an apple fell on his head and he found the theory of gravity. The three laws of motion are only one of the countless things formulated or developed by the astounding seventeenth century physicist and mathematician, Sir Isaac Newton. The first law is, “every object in a state uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.” This means if an object at rest tends to stay at rest, then an object that is moving tends to stay moving. So when a force is applied to the rested object, it should start moving, if the force is great enough. This is commonly referred to the, “law of inertia.”
