Computers are shaping society today, whether it’s the way we talk, eat, sleep, or even act. We use computers in our everyday lives all the time, they allow us to become more innovative and continue to make the human life easier. Our education would be limited to who we had in our community and their own wisdom, whereas today we can have access to information all over the globe. With this information also comes responsibility some information cannot be shared with the public or some believe that and can be protected by security. Then there are people who want to get that information whether it 's for the good of everyone or just for their own gain, they hack the system and can get this information. Computers have made us vulnerable in ways some could never imagine 25 years ago. Let’s look at what a computer is and what it does.

Defined by Webster Dictionary a computer is “a programmable usually electronic device that can store, retrieve, and process data”. Computers have been around forever if we use this definition. Humans fit this definition we program each other by teaching and showing each other how to think and what to think, we have memories which we store information and later can retrieve it for further use. We might not be as critical as laptops or iPads but we are computers, just not the electronic ones. So when people are worried about computers taking over the world they already have we are just that. In an article by Astounding Elements, humans are compared to a computer in a simple but informative way, “With a computer RAM is used to process requests that take memory to complete them. Once the information is saved to the hard drive, it can be called upon at any time (providing you know where it is) to bring it up....

...be on some type of technological device that can store the information better than files upon files, which can get lost.

Without computers, we wouldn’t have the same lives we have today. Computers have allowed us to become more innovative. If we didn’t have them then we wouldn’t be as advanced, you wouldn’t have the same opportunities or supplies as you do today. Samiksha S. described just how advanced a computer is “The computer system is not a simple machine. It is like a very modern and highly complex calculator. It can do all the functions at a speedy rate and also helps us to search and progress in our homes and businesses.” (para. 2) Information is now always at our fingertips we don’t have to go to a library or find some old wise guy to tell us what work and what doesn’t. We can literally just google it and find what you 're looking for in seconds.
