What is AI technology, according to www.merriam-webster.com, “An area of computer science that deals with giving machines the ability to seem like they have human intelligence”. AI technology has changed the way people interact with one another. It has also given machines the technology needed in order to resemble human traits. Women inequality is shown in all of this three films. The males are the ones given the most power, and strength in the film. But there are some films that change this traits of men and give this traits to the women figure. This is shown, in three different movies such as Metropolis, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Alien. We were able to see the distinct gender roles given to both female and male during this film. In this movie the male AI were given the higher position then the female. But it also gave the female equal opportunities since the females in the spaceship had careers in science. We are able to see this when the astronauts are talking to each and start describing their jobs the females have jobs in the STEM field. What this shows us is that females are getting better movie roles as time progresses. Women are given better jobs, and movie roles as time passes by since we are able to see that we are giving them equal opportunities. We also see inequality in the film since the female AI are given receptionist jobs while the males are given better AI jobs. This is shown when the astronauts have to sign a paper the AI has a female voice. The male AI is given the job of controlling the spaceship. This show us that the males are still given the full control of things. Since the male AI goes out of control and is the one that decides the faith of the astronauts. The creator of the film wanted to give us a contrast between the male dominance in society, and the equality of both male and female in the film. In the film alien the female character was given the trait of bravery and intelligence. But was never given the power of being a leader in the film. This was shown at the beginning of the movie when she had to decide if she will let one of her crew members in that was bitten by the alien. Even though she was the boss and decided to leave him one of the male characters did not listen and still took him in the space shuttle. This shows us that the female characters have no authority in the film. If something like this happened to a male character he will get punished for what he did. A scene that showed female strength was when the only survivor in the movie was the female, since all the males in the movie had died. The male AI in the movie was the deceptive one since his only goal was to bring the alien alive. This scene changed gender roles in movies. Since it gave the male characters the deceptive characteristics and the female character the bravery characteristics. We are able to see that the main theme in all three movies is that humans cannot be trusted with technology, and that it will destroy our humanity. The very last scene of the movie showed the female characters changing and how females are used as seductive beings. This scene showed us that female characters in a movie will never be seen as serious characters since they always come back to the same thing. This

The video uses Chile as an example and shows how America allowed a crisis to occur in Chile, through coups, interrogations and subterfuge. In the end a new government is formed that allows capitalism. Unfortunately afterwards violence and riots occur, as the rich gain most of the wealth and poverty rises. In addition to Chile, Argentina, Russia and even Iraq underwent the shock doctrine. Almost in every account, poverty rises and violence ends up erupting. The movie ends by showing how the US was in the process of the shock doctrine, and still is but the population has taken notice. Protests such as Occupy Wall Street are some of the initiatives necessary to bring awareness to the problems of class inequalities in order to prevent capitalism from benefitting the rich and increasing the wealth gap among the classes.
