The five components of physical fitness include cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. I attended Pilates and Yoga classes due to the fact that I have yet to be cleared by my physician to do activities with unpredictable direction changes. The different classes focuses on these two aspects in slightly different ways. The Pilates classes have more of the muscular strength component involved in them compared to the yoga classes do. I actually did this class for five of the ten required. I enjoy the strengthening using body weight and low impact. This allows me to help prevent common overuse injuries that running often causes because I can still workout without the pounding of running. It builds all the muscles that are essential for running especially core muscles. Honestly, Pilates is useful for pretty much everything anyone does because core muscles are important for things such as balance and posture. Pilates is something I might want to continue on my own. For Pilates at this school, there is typically only one instructor. There was a sub at one of the classes that I went to, and I noticed how different the class can be depending on the instructor that is there. The usual instructor typically went slower, and she emphasized proper breathing and posture more often. The other instructor more much quicker. I like both ways a lot. When the class moves quicker, there is more time for different exercises. When the class is slower, it is more relaxing. Furthermore, different instructors make a huge difference to the format of the fitness

Every part of our body is a science. I never imagined the hidden science in the movements of the body. The science of kinesiology is the science of body movements. I grew up watching my grandma and the changes in her body as both of us got older, I could walk and balance properly while she lost it. I always felt bad when she was not able to get up and walk properly and as caring grandson I always gave her my hand. It was a great feeling for me to take care of her in her last days. Her difficulty in moving always pointed me to do something for her and I landed doing kinesiology- the science of human movements. I completed my high school at Cathedral High School in West Texas. I was an active member of National Honor Society as well as Spanish Honor Society. I held the treasurer position for one year in the society, which I felt proud of. What is Athletic training, and what could someone do with an athletic training degree? Athletic training is a unique field because it requires a strong mental and physical ability. From the beginning I would like to start with my personal experience that I had with our athletic training room. I play soccer and training room is like my second home to me. This time I had a surgery on my knee and I was supposed to be on my rehabilitation. At that time the Head Athletic Trainer was Tony and he was really nice guy, but for some reason me and he didn’t get along. He asked me to get all the medical documentation from my doctor in order for him to start treating me. Back then I didn’t understand why he needs all the paper work and permission to help me out. It wasn’t until now that I took this class and learned that trainers need to be careful with paperwork or they can get sued. I learned that there is many other reasons for

This week’s analysis is associated with the yoga class provided online to help with stress reduction. The first term that I came across was psychophysiology and how this principle is based on the mind and body being one and how our thinking affects all physiology. This principle was the perfect definition of yoga because yoga focuses on how the mind and body connects with each other. It gives you a sense of relaxation throughout your mind and body together. Furthermore, the yoga that was in the video was a yoga style called hatha. Which practices asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). According to the book, this practices helps bring peace to the mind and body and prepare our body to do deeper exercises. The art of breathing was mentioned during the exercise and in the book. Breathing is very important when trying to unite the mind, body, and spirit. So, having slow, deep breathes was a main focused during the exercise. Another term that was used in the video was the art of stretching, which allows us to become aware of our flexibility of our muscle while moving. Lastly, the art of balance is significant because it allows us to move into the next form of position on both sides of our body. Some of the workouts pose that was mention in the textbook that I did was two knees to the chest, cobra, and head of cow. Overall, hatha
