Recommended: The similarities of fairy tales and folk tales and fables

What is common in the tales of different peoples? And how do they differ? I have had many questions and wanted to find the answers. My research is devoted to analysis and comparison of the two tales about animals - Russian folk tale "The wolf and the goat" and the English folk tale "The wolf and the three kittens." Comparing Russian and English folk tales about animals began with an introduction to the history of fairy tales: the definition of the genre, the collection and study of fairy tales, with their classification. "Grandma, tell me a story" - how often in childhood, we say these words. And my grandmother is usually not long resisted sits on the edge of the bed and begins to tell a gentle voice. How we love these old wives' tales, and how her stories forward to once again plunge into the wonderful world of fantasy, where the horses are flying across the sky, castles grow overnight, and animals speak with a human voice. The structure of a fairy tale about animals is quite simple. This is a small text size, simplicity and elementary plot, especially in the composition. Perhaps only in fairy tales about animals composition has some function. All parts of the story constructed in such a way that at maximum speed in a short episode to reveal the essence of the phenomenon, to convey the nature of relations between the characters. The simplest story is one episode. This measure contributes to a clearer expression of ideological content. In moral terms, there are two main ideas. The first idea is the glorification of association by which the weak triumph over the strong and evil. The second idea is the glorification of the victory itself, which brings moral satisfaction in the audience. Often, the tales are three situations: three times more turns into a fox cock, three times the wolf comes to the hut the goats. Trinity connected with the emergence of Christianity as a religion. This reflected triune God - Father, God - the son and the Holy Spirit. Also it is popular of using of a number seven and multiples of seven. Stories about animals are characterized by bright optimism: the weak always come out of a difficult situation. It is supported by many situations, especially by the sense of humor. The most complete ideological and artistic conception of tales of animals sold in oral performance.

In “The Summer and Winter Garden,” the Grimm’s’ story was mostly based to entertain misbehaved children and teach them the valuable lesson that everyone should be treated with kindness. The Grimm brothers’ goal in rewriting this short story is to better children’s behavior which worked quite well. Since these stories have been re-written for children, it would be safe to say the reason why parents expose the two stories to their children is because they both portray the same moral: good things happen to good people. The two interpretations of “Beauty and the Beast,” although written in separate countries, share important similarities and differences even though the authors have different interpretations and came from different cultures.
