Beowulf the Movie and Angelo Saxon differences and simularities
There are numerous similitudes and contrasts between Beowulf the motion picture which was made in the year 2007, and the poem by an obscure Angelo Saxon poet. A large portion of the likenesses and contrasts are clear. The poem was changed into a motion picture and was more advanced and simpler to see then the epic poem itself. The movie happens to be more modern and gives the audience a better understanding of Beowulf and what happened during his life. It also helps the audience visualize it rather than having to picture the occurences while reading the poem.
The author of Beowulf is a mystery, as most poets of the Anglo-Saxon period are. He might have been a court poet, or a monastic poet, taking this into consideration allows for someone to try to identify why the poem may have written in the form that it was. Depending on the Christian interpretation of the poem, it could be either. The poem itself is created from a Christian perspective. The importance of Christianity is seen all through the whole structure of the entire poem. Hrothgar gathers Herot because he wishes to offer amazing quality to God. In the movie, Hrothgar and his danes are Pagan. Exactly when Unferth Comes to Hrothgar to check whether the Danes should entreat the new Christian Lord his answer is no.
In the poem Gold is a steady component, shining positively in underground vaults, on the bosoms of rulers or the arms and formal attire of warriors on the mead-seats. It is stacked into pontoons as ruin, gave out in bowed bars as corridor blessings, covered in the earth as fortune, enduring underground as an insistence of a people 's magnificent past and an epitaph for it. Before the end of the son...

The poem shows Beowulf holding fast to the laws made by Anglo-Saxon culture. This demonstrated Beowulf just like a genuine saint. Rather in the motion picture He doesn 't demonstrate the greater part of the qualities as a legend, for example, he did in the poem by obeying all rules. He lies about murdering Grendels mother and he additionally engages in extramarital relations with his ruler’s handmaid.
In conclusion although the movie and the poem follow the same story line there are a few differences and similaritys. Maybe the movie was written to help viewers understand that period of life better while giving you scenes that will make you love Beowulf even more. Either way Beowulf was a hero in both stories and will continue to live on as such.
