Communication is essential for a healthy relationship. Effective communication enables one in a relationship to have a free interactive session with the partner to address various variables that are detrimental to a stable relationship. Interpersonal communication which provides a good platform to engage in various activities including exercising, shopping, and participating in religious activities creates an excellent establishment for a healthy social relationship between partners. Moreover, communication is the primary objective of human existence. A successful relationship is depended on effective communication to drive and meet their social needs adequately.
The first small step I have taken to become a better version of the self in relationships is increasing my self-esteem. Self-esteem guarantees an interpersonal success since it sets a good pace for positive interaction and behavior, and I believe that person with high self-esteem tends to get along well with other people and encourage positive change in a relationship. I have embraced the strategy of visualizing a positive image of a person to help solve the inadequacies in my relationship life, and I have learned to embrace a positive change by understanding my others’ weaknesses and helping them in time of need. More importantly, after taking interpersonal communication class, I have learned that communication is in everywhere; we exchange and collaborate with peer, perform daily activities, and build relationship. I believe that everyone has their own way to improve their communication skills.
