...y do with colleges.
College sports VS professional sports is a topic that can be fought tooth and nail either way with pros being paid to playing for “free”. Although when it comes to entertainment for home viewers college sports win the close battle. The pros are less intense for the majority of their seasons and they almost always have a second chance. While in college every situation is either you live or you die. A loss the first week of the season can and is an end all for you hope of a national title in football. While in college a late season loss or two could put you out of the tournament where with the NBA and NFL you have two or several chances to redeem yourself. College sports are more competitive and enjoyable to watch for home views solely for the fact of the competition is higher and the result of the game means so much more than a loss in the pros.

Essay on College Athletes: The Jump to Professional Sports League

- College athletes have a goal that they pursue. The jump to the professional sports leagues is an accomplishment that most college athletes wanted to achieve. But most college athletes go to college and forego completing their senior year and don’t get a degree. In basketball most athletes are one and done. This means they go to college for only one year then enter the NBA draft. For the NFL players have to be out of high school for three years and necessarily don’t have to go to college. Some argue that good enough athletes should enter the professional draft because of financial issues....   [tags: career, education, experience]

Essay about Good leaders in Team Sports

- Introduction The argument has been made that sports teams, whether they are college-level teams, professional teams, or club teams, have a unique culture that is dictated and directed by the coaches who lead them (Johnston, 2014). The idea that sports teams have a unique culture that can be dictated by a coach has become a topic of great interest in recent years as more people, both in and out of sports, have argued that a negative organizational culture within athletic teams breeds violence, misconduct among players, and causes a lack of motivation for a sport for players (Turman, 2003; Johnston, 2014)....   [tags: Sports Teams, College, Professional, Culture]

In regards to sports, society displays this field as male dominant because of the idea that males can be more dominant in the world than women. College Athletes And Professional Athletes Essay

- Many athletes make the transition from high school to college whether it is within the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and many more. For many young athletes they aspire to go to school and compete alongside some of the toughest competitions at an amateur level and hopefully transform themselves into professional athletes. Being an NCAA athlete can give you more opportunities to become that professional athlete you aspire to be in comparison to all other student-athletic routes. Should College Athletes Be Required? Essay

- Should college athletes be required to graduate with a degree, before they go to the pro’s. I believe that all colleges should make it mandatory for their student athletes to graduate before they are allowed to go to the pro’s. Only a small percentage of student athletes go on to have a career in professional sports after college. The few that are lucky enough to make it to the pro’s usually end up playing for a couple of years and then end up not being able to find work. College athletes should be required to obtain degree’s because not only does it allow you to have something to fall back on if you can’t make it to the pro’s, but it also can show pro sports teams that you are a mature indi...   [tags: Professional sports, Football, Amateur sports]

- There is never enough of anything in the life of a college student. there is never enough time to study, or enough food, or enough money, or enough time to sleep. But, if that student becomes a college athlete then all of the “or’s” change to “and’s”. Even though there are many struggles of a college athlete they are not going away. As the youth of America watches their older counterparts excel in many college sports, a dream to become an athlete at the collegiate level is sparked.
