Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is short-term, but one of the most used and effectiveness of treatments for mental illness. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a goal oriented, hands-on therapy treatment. Its objective is to change the patterns of a person’s behavior or thinking. Cognitive Therapy is upon the assumption that our behavior is a result of our feelings and thinking which forms from our feelings and perceptions. Behavioral Therapy is upon the assumptions that some of our behavior and our reaction to our environment are the results of a learning process. In other words, our behaviors can be unlearned.
