As British Conservative politician, William Hague once said, “We have to face the reality of climate change. It is arguably the biggest threat we are facing today.” In todays society, we have come such a far way with technology and how we live our lives. We have easier ways of making our electricity and easier ways to get from one place to another. To keep up with our technology, we are also burning up an excessive amount of fossil fuels and releasing jaw dropping amounts of CO2 into the air. A lot of our transportation systems of people and our food and also how we get our electricity help to show just how much we are polluting the world. All of these things takes source such as coal and gasoline that need to be burned in order to work. When …show more content…

Anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions since the pre-industrial era have driven large increases in the atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide (Synthesis Report). All of these things that are being emitted into the air have remained in the air but some has been removed and stored in plants, soils and in the ocean. The layer of greenhouse gas is getting very thick which is making the Earth warmer. Our Earths energy balance includes variations in the sun’s energy reaching Earth, changes in the reflectivity of Earth’s atmosphere and surface, and changes in the greenhouse effect, which affects the amount of heat retained …show more content…

It is defined as an interactive system consisting of the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the cyrospher, and land surface and the biosphere. Also, it is force or influenced by various external forcing mechanisms which includes the sun, and human activities (IPCC). It has calculated the warming of the climate system as unequivocal, and since the 1950s, many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia (Synthesis Report). The climate system has reports from the amount of snow and ice to the sea level. It defiantly has been changing over the years. For example, ocean warming dominates the increase in energy stored in the climate system, accounting for more than 90% of the energy accumulated between 1971 and 2010 (Synthesis Report). The climate can affect every person and our health directly through increases in temperature. Heat can increase dramatically in the summertime and lead to a lot of problems to those who have asthma or heart problems. It can also lead to extreme floods and droughts which is something we don’t need because a lot of our food is agriculturally based and we need water to grow our crops. We have already experience some droughts around the world and it has not turned out good for the people living
