Intro
Global warming is a serious environmental issue taking place on our planet earth. It threatens the wildlife, the people of our society, our progress and achievements as humans, the plants and many other examples that will be discussed in this essay. Like how does it affect us? When will it end? Are we, humans, the main cause of this? This is guaranteed to answer most every question you have considered about global warming.
P1
What is global warming? It’s called global warming for a reason. It means the temperature of the earth is slowly, but surely rising. And that doesn’t mean an everlasting summer break, this is a serious, life threatening issue. But how can you tell that

Who’d have thought that there are pros of global warming, right? Well, it would lower the amount of winter deaths. The percentage of winter deaths are higher than those of other seasonal deaths. There are diseases like pneumonia and influenza that can kill you in a very painful way. The rising of temperatures that global warming provides will reduce that by a good percentage. There is most likely to be less droughts too. And as far as cons go, there are many previous and upcoming paragraphs that will insight you on that.

A commonly asked question is if global warming and the greenhouse effect are the same thing. The answer to that is no, the greenhouse effect is a natural process where specific gases in our atmosphere such as carbon dioxide, methane and water vapor absorb some of the infrared radiation that is put out by the Earth.

Global warming only attributes to the Earth’s rising surface temperature. Climate change on the other hand, refers to warming and the causes and reactions of warming, for example, melting glaciers, heavy rain and wind storms, and drought. In short global warming is only one category of Climate change.
Global warming is described as an increase of average temperature throughout the globe over an extended period of time. Typically when scientists use the term global warming they use it to describe rising temperatures due to human actions such as the burning of fossil fuels and release of aerosols into the atmosph...
Climate change describes the changes that are happening to the planet in different countries or regions (NASA, n.d.). Climate change is caused by global warming,
Global warming is a scientific, political, and controversial topic. Some believe it is catastrophic, a slow moving killer hiding in the shadows. Others do not even think twice about it as they race by in a Hummer. Global warming is the gradual increase of temperature throughout different climates. It is caused by the greenhouse gas effect in which greenhouse gases, like methane and carbon dioxide, reflect sunlight back and forth. This reflected ultraviolet light bounces between the earth and the ozone layer and becomes trapped, resulting in a gradual rise of temperature. Over time, the slow rise of temperature causes new climates throughout the globe. The article “What Megablazes Tell Us About the Fiery Future of Climate Change” by Tim Dickinson
Climate change is a change in global temperature and regional climate patterns. At the turn of the 20th century, there has been rising issues about climate change, arguing that global warming and climate change is an issue worsened by the human race. Change in climate is a natural process in which changes from season to season and even fluxuates over thousands of years. Over the time frame of the last 650,000 years there has been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat (Global Climate Change). It could be argued that climate change is a natural process and the Earth is suppose to change its temperature from hot to cold. Yes, that is true. However, the rate in which the temperature is changing is something this Earth has never endured. In
The dictionary defines climate change as a change in global or local climate patterns such as heat and precipitation. The trees that provide oxygen, the water that keeps us hydrated and the animals along with plants that gives us food grant Earth with features that make it adequate to live in. Global warming, as stated in the name, occurs when Earth 's atmosphere starts getting warmer. Global Warming has become a problem throughout the world that will need to be addressed over the coming years because it affects animals, sea level and landscapes around the world.
Alleged Global Warming has been a hot topic and been widely reported in the American media since the 1970s. In March 2014, TED, a nonprofit committed to expanding ideas with short talks, gave a powerful presentation of the alleged current consequences of Global Warming in Gavin Schmidt’s (2014) talk: The emergent patterns of climate change. His claims are stark and he implores his audience to take the grave predictions of Global Warming seriously and not just write it off as insignificant. While Google Trends (2014) shows (graph 1) that search terms for global warming in the United States (red) have decreased while worldwide (blue) interest (image 1) fluctuates with India showing the most curiosity. Yet, not everyone agrees that Global Warming is real just as not everyone agrees that cigarette smoking is hazardous to your health when scientific studies show otherwise. By defining Global Warming, giving the major arguments on both sides of the topic, and offering an overview of scientific studies, this paper will help one think critically and thoughtfully about Global Warming.
One way that our health can be affected is due to the droughts that global warming can cause. With droughts our water supply becomes scarce. As a result, civilians can suffer from dehydration. Disasters such as: severe storms, wildfires, and flooding can cause health risks as well. These disasters cause by climate change can cause burns, drowning, broken bones, and other physical injuries. Pollution will add on more health risks. By polluting, we are “dirtying” the air that we breath. Although we do not know all of the long term effects of climate change, it is almost guaranteed that there will be even more health issues. Eventually the spread of diseases will also be more prevalent. Insects that can carry diseases such as mosquitos will not be dying off every winter if something is not done about emission of greenhouse
The negative side of global warming is that it leads to the melting of ice. The world's glaciers, especially Arctic glaciers, are melting faster than new snow and ice can supplement them. During the melting of Arctic ice opens over the dark surface of the water or soil and balance changes reflect less and absorb a greater amount of heat, therefore, large areas of ice melt rapidly (News, global warming). There is evidence, which will support this argument: scientists from the University of California in San Diego investigated satellite observation data for the Arctic for 1979-2011 years. Since the 1970s, the area covering the ice has decreased by 40 % and the region has warmed up to 2 degrees (News global warming). It means, that global warming affects the wildlife and due to the melting of ice flora and fauna dies....
Global warming and the greenhouse effect are issues discussed by scientists all the time. A natural process that keeps earths temperature at a livable rate is called the greenhouse effect. The energy from the sun warms up the earth when the rays from the sun are absorbed by greenhouse gases. The gasses then become trapped in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane and nitrous oxide are the most common greenhouse gases.
Global Warming is a condition caused by greenhouse gases and human activities. The increased concentration of greenhouse gases due to activities such as deforestation and fossil fuel burning is causing the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans to warm up. As a result of this, global warming has some serious effects in the shape of extreme weather, species extinctions, and rising sea levels. These effects can contribute to the changes that are taking place all over the world, most of which are dangerous enough to pose a threat to the survival of life on Earth in the future.
Many climate scientists, researchers, and environmentalists are expressing concerns about shifts in the overall climate of the earth. It is believed that a dramatically dangerous warming is taking place in the overall global climate, a problem that is referred to as "global warming”. Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of Earth’s climate system. This temperature rise is due to the damaging effects of deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels. It is our responsibility to preserve our planet and our way of living but in order to do that we need to act now. If we continue to destroy the planet with no regard as to how serious this matter is there could be several negative effects to us as human being and other living thing on Earth. This is why global warming is truly a global issue and needs to be tackled collectively. We must to act now in order to reduce the dangerous levels of carbon dioxide emissions and we must to work together.
all the time. The greenhouse effect is a natural process that keeps the earth at temperatures that
Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth's climate. While it changes the Earth’s climate it takes away different species that we depend on and some which other species depend on and also effect (in a bad way) the environment in which we live and can cause permanent damages to humans, animals, plant which will change the whole chain of ecosystem.
Global warming is the gradual rise in temperature and oceans due to recent human activity. This is created by the production of too much carbon dioxide that is released into the earth’s atmosphere. The carbon dioxide, also known as a greenhouse gas, remains in the air trapping heat and gradually warming the planet. Other greenhouse gases such as: methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapor also contribute to this slow warming. According to Live Science, The state of these gases being trapped is called the greenhouse effect, which is one of the leading causes of global warming (Lallanillia). All the gases are created differently and have different effects on the earth. As for some greenhouse gases can be in the atmosphere for a short amount of time, other gases can remain in the atmosphere for thousands of
The common definition of global warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide and other pollutants (Global warming, Wikipedia). Moreover, the effects of global warming will bring ecological and social changes. Because there is no exact way to predict the effects of global warming, it is almost impossible to say how strong global warming will affect life in the future. Scientists blame the greenhouse gas effect in combination with societies greenhouse gas emissions for the rising temperature. The greenhouse effect is a process by which thermal radiation from a planetary surface is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases, and is re-radiated in all directions. Since part of this re-radiation is emitted back towards the earth’s surface and the lower atmosphere, it results in an elevation of the average surface temperature above what it would be in the absence of the gases (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). Simply, global...
