Climate Change And Its Effects

Climate change, is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time. These times can be anywhere from decades to millions of years. The Earth’s climate has constantly been changing throughout history. Climate change can be dated back to over 650,000 years ago. Most of the changes that happened before 7,000 years ago happened because of small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy the earth planet receives. Even though climate change is natural, people are speeding up the process at which it occurs by polluting. Climate change has many impacts all over the world and its effects are evident. People can still slow down the process at which climate change occurs by doing simple things in their own homes. Climate change is natural but that does not mean that humans do not speed up the process, its impacts are evident all over the world and it is having negative effects, but there are ways the people of earth could slow down the process at which it occurs. The Earth’s weather patterns are constantly changing and evidence of this has been around for many years. Under normal circumstances, climate change is natural, but now it has become more certain that humans are now affecting the climate as well. Many the of activities humans do throughout their daily lives contribute to the changes within the Earth’s climate. Human induced climate change is growing at a rate that has not been seen within the past 1300 years. The thought that humans could affect the climate of the Earth was first introduced in the 20th century by a man named Svante Arrhenius. Svante proposed that by increasing the amount of greenhouse gases in the air, people could increase ... ... middle of paper ... ...onger need to make the dishwasher use hot water. By lowering the water temperature people can begin to save on energy when washing dishes. An even better way to save on energy when washing dishes is to hand wash them as the people can can see the amount of water they use. In conclusion, although climate change is natural, the process at which it occurs is speeding up because of human pollution. The impacts of climate change are evident all over the world, but people can slow down the rate at which it occurs. Humans are speeding up the process at which it happens by releasing extensive amounts of greenhouse gases. The impacts are evident all over the world by the rising sea levels and increase in severe weather. Although climate change is getting worse people can slow it down by following the three R’s and by decreasing their hot water usage and general water usage.
