Many of us have fond memories of camping out in a tent and cooking over an open fire. But, as we age the ground gets harder and colder. We prefer our modern conveniences when we go trekking in the wild. You might say, the RV is the new tent!
While it's great fun to go window-shopping for motorhomes, attempts to tell one from the other can get frustrating. But, it's easy-breezy to identify whether an RV is class A, B or C once we know their distinguishing features.
This is the first of a series that will help you decide which type of motorhome best fits your lifestyle.

Permanent camping is exactly as it sounds. A camper is placed on a purchased or borrowed lot at a campground and is left there year-round. Transient camping is when one takes a camper with them to a campground and then takes the camper back home after he or she is done. Utility terrain Vehicles are different from passenger cars and mini trucks in many aspects. These vehicles are not provided with all the features that a normal car have, but serves the purpose effectively. UTV´s are run by Single or Multi-Cylinder Diesel or Gasoline engines. And having seen the "pimped out" SUVs on MTV Cribs, complete with two or three LCD screens (one in the dashboard for the driver, of course), DVD player, speakers costing more than my college education, GPS navigation systems similar to those used in the Space Shuttle, heated seats, and 20 inch chrome wheels, my eyes were wide with opportunity.
