Introduction
This critique reviewed a quantitative study based upon chronic venous leg ulcers and examined the factors that influenced directly or indirectly on the quality of life of patients with these chronic venous leg ulcers (CVLU). The goal of this paper is to analyze a research results that are related to chronic venous leg ulcer and, more importantly to caring for CVLU and the wounds. To do this research, some systematic methods were utilized with sourced studies synthesized using a narrative approach and, where homogeneity has allowed, meta-analysis (Lucas, P. J., Baird, J., Aria. L. et al. and Rodgers, M., Sowden, A., Petticrew, M. et al 2007 – 2009).
Protection of Human Participants
The research last from 1990–2013 and participants who took part were adult patients who live in the community with CVLU and the concern is about the quality of life (QoL). The search was conducted using inclusion and exclusion criteria and used comprehensive search terms. Titles, abstracts and, finally, full text articles were screened against the inclusion criteria by two
reviewers (JG and RJ). The article didn’t mention that informed consents were obtained prior to study and, also I didn’t read in the article that an approval was obtained with an institutional review board. But it is also true that patient personal data were not revealed in the article.
Data Collection Methods and Instruments
The method applied in this research assembled articles found eligible during the period 1990 and 2013. Authors identified them by the mean of electronic searches of research databases (MEDLINE, CINAHL, BNI, EMBASE, PsycINFO, AMED and HMIC, Cochrane Collaboration database and Google Scholar.
