Christmas was over and done with, and I couldn’t be happier. The gigantic tree that we picked out at the Christmas tree farm had been stripped of our precious glass ornaments and thrown outside. With the decorations put in the boxes and placed back on the top shelf in the garage, the living room was almost back to normal. The smell of the tree lingered in the living area until Trent opened the windows and let in some fresh air. I couldn’t stand the smell anymore; it was crazy that it happened all of a sudden. I was fine up until a few hours ago. After the floors were swept and cleaned the stinky smell was gone. I never wanted another live Christmas tree again; the tree had shed all over the place, and prickly needles were everywhere. While Tia and Trent cleaned up the living room, I lay on the bed with my head spinning. This baby was wearing me out. My feet were swollen, and my senses were all out of whack.
