My Grandfather Solomon, on my father’s side, was of Austrian descendence and born amoungst the choosen. Although he passed away nearly two years ago, he continues to be the most dedicated and justified man that I had ever known. He was born Jewish and I was baptized Christian. My entire family shares memories of celebrating the religious holidays of both Christianity and Judaism; I was taught the virtues and rejections of both. Although both Christianity and Judaism are ancient, monothestic religions, they maintain vast differences in their ideas of God, original sin, and conversion.
Despite the uproar from monothestic critics, Christianity would almost be better described as a trinitarianism. Christians believe in the Holy Trinity; God is to be found in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three equal parts may combine or disjoin creating the eternal, one true God. The most important player holds to be Jesus Christ, God in the Son. He is thought of as God in the flesh and the savior of mankind.
