China is well-developed in developing countries. Its economy growth speed is pretty fast meanwhile the speed of environment become worse is also fast. Many shocking news about China’s environmental pollution problems reported in recent years and some of them seem ridiculous but it is true: Heavy haze happened in Shanghai then people even need to depend on blind people lead them to home and some people use GPS to give them direction to find their house. Some small villages named ‘Cancer village’ because cancer morbidity rate is high in there due to the water that villagers live on got severe pollute because of the factory drain the wastewater without process and just let them go into the river. Improve the environmental protection become the hottest and the most important topic among Chinese people. Environment became worse and worse force people cannot keep persuading high GDP rather protect environment. People need to value the environment over economic development. Air is the most essential source that people live on and it have been severely polluted influent by the fast economy development. Before 2010 …show more content…
Many factory owners always put net income as their first position to operate their business therefore they release exhausted gas or polluted water with simple or without process. Some economically undeveloped area in China, people who live there still need to rely on underground water and that water resource more likely named chemical solution to them. No more fishes in their river instead of varies of pollutants and too smelly to take a breath in there. Most of villagers do not have enough ability to move out of the town the only thing they can do is bear it. ‘Cancer Village’ is a scary truth and if people do not make any improvement, there will be more and more ‘ Deformed children village’ or maybe ‘ High born mortality rate village’ appeared in
Many people are unknowingly exposed to air pollution and have no idea. Some common causes of air pollution are automobiles, factories, landfills and toxic materials. Air pollution destroys the environment; it causes climate change because it greatly affects the greenhouse effect and it causes acid rain. Acid rain contaminates water and destroys animal’s homes. Air pollution has many effects on people it causes coughing, elevates your risk of asthma, wheezing, it can cause diseases and birth defects. It’s estimated “that seven million people died prematurely in 2012 from exposure to air pollution and that air pollution can cause cardiovascular diseases. The use of incinerators has caused protest movements from the Chinese citizens because they are becoming aware of the air pollution that is being given off from the burning of their trash and the effects it has on their health. There have been many reports of premature births and stillbirths of pregnant women that live near garbage incinerators”( Professional Safety, 2014, p.
One of China’s best successes has in turn been one of its biggest downfalls. One of the main problems is China’s greatest success which has been its phenomenal economic growth. This is one of the main drivers of the current environmental problems that the country faces. Factories dump pollutants into the air and water. It is difficult to see the Chinese government making the significant sacrifices required to improve their environment if it means slowing down their economic growth.
China’s economy is one very large indicator of its role in globalization. “In 2010 China became the world’s largest exporter” (CIA World Factbook). Without China many places such as the United States of America would be without billions of goods imported from China annually. An influx of companies moving their manufacturing to China has allowed people to flock to cities and find jobs. China’s economy has grown exponentially over the last few decades. In the last three years China’s economy has grown by nearly ten percent every year. Despite this influx of money to China it has also resulted in many drawbacks. For example, China’s environment has been obliterated. China burns more coal than every country in the world combined. Beijing has been so badly polluted that there are actually companies that sell cans of fresh air to people, and gas masks are a common sight. On January 12th 2013 Beijing’s air pollution reached a record setting 775 PPM. To put that into perspective, the scale for measuring pollution is 0-500 PPM. This set an all-time recorded high. In Los Angeles a high ...
When we think of air pollution we think of the refineries in our cities and the exhaust coming from our cars mostly. In reality there are many more pollutants that we don't think about every day. The six most common air pollutants are; “Carbon monoxide, Nitrogen oxides, Sulphur oxides, Particulate matter, Volatile organic compounds, and Ground-level ozone (nitrogen oxide and Volatile organic compounds reaction)”(David Suzuki Foundation). The fact is people are dying from air pollution and we are doing nothing to make it better, in fact air pollution is getting worse.
... This has resulted in increased pollution due to livestock releasing methane gas into the air. And due to demand for electrical goods from western countries, it has helped China to produce a capitalist economy. This has enabled China’s citizens to have a prosperous lifestyle, which has increased pollution due to the increase in energy use and waste production. Furthermore, although the Chinese government and its citizens are trying to tackle their environmental problems, it seems to be too little too late.
Having been environment caring since a young age, I have always had a large appreciation for the world resources that are essential for living. I always follow my dad and uncle conducting research about the environment since they are both faculties in the field of environment science, read articles about controversies and I am fascinated with the problem that affects everyone in the world. I have always considered it the far and wide most important resource in the world, and I feel as though China has a pretty lacking appreciation for it, whereas many other countries, as a whole, are constantly trying to come up with new solutions to solve the problem.
Until 10 years ago, air pollution was thought to be just an urban or local problem until it was discovered that the pollutants could move across continents and oceans. Air pollution is the fundamental factor that causes greenhouse gases, hence climate change and global warming. Air pollutants are the waste products generated from industrial and other processes. They usually come in gases, though aerosols (particles suspended in air, emitted as or formed by transformatio...
Air pollution is caused by many things such as car fumes, burning of fossil fuels,
There will growth of water born diseases increasing health hazards and degradation of environment and ecosystems. This affects the natural environment system leading to exaction of some species. And the due contamination of water can also lower the production of agriculture products and other economy activities will decrease. If there will more water bodies pollution it also has negative effects on its environment there decline of economy of the country. Since more of the country budget have invest on the health sectors. The country major users of water are agriculture, intensification hydropower and industrialization. Urbanization is another significant challenge. Rural-urban migration increases pressure on urban infrastructure and services and cause environmental problems which will lead to water pollution.
China’s economy experienced a stunning growth the past couple decades and the future once looked promising. The methods that China used to grow could cause the downfall of its economic growth. What had been called the “Golden Years” could be over, which was a time of economic prosperity and growth. The growth could be affected from the political corruption, which can scare away foreign investment. Economic growth caused the housing bubble, which could bring down the economy. China’s growth also spurned the idea of protecting the environment that has caused pollution and environmental issues. The Chinese economy does not have a great economic future due to political corruption, the housing bubble, the pollution and environmental issues, and the loss of their comparative advantage.

These different governments have had different levels of response towards their pollution problems and have dealt with it in different ways. With the Korean government they have taken great stride to depend on solar power and to reduce the waste from industrialization. While the Also the Japanese government has still a while to go because of their dependence on factory and their radioactive water. Chinese government has not done much at all to reduce the pollution it has created over the years. Their different ways of dealing with the pollution is sort of different layers of variations. It’s plain to see because of the pollution South Korea, China and Japan governments have caused are directly connected to the political unrest of their countries and their effect on the lives of the people and wildlife.
Every other day a new industries are being set up, new vehicles on roads and trees are being cut to make way for new homes. All of them, indirect way lead to increase in CO2 leads to melting of polar ice caps which increase the sea level and pose danger for the people living near coastal areas. Pollution can have an impact in our health not only affects people with impaired respiratory system such as asthmatics, but very healthy adults and children too. Exposure to pollution for 6 to 7 hours, even at relatively low concentrations, reduces lung function and induces respiratory inflammation and, healthy people during periods of moderate
