This shows that many men today tend to leave the house and don’t take responsibility when it comes to taking care of their family, and put all the hard work and responsibilities on mothers. In other words mothers can play multiple roles as parents, they can be a mother, a father, a teacher, and a friend all at the same time. This helps children to open up to their mothers and connect with them. Single mothers can work outside, look after the house and be there for their children emotionally, while single fathers can really only bring home money. Children will usually be emotionally unstable without their mothers being present. Statistics show “If to count the number of single mothers in relation to single fathers the correlation will be nine to one that means that children in most cases are left with their mothers (Single parent’s par 7). This shows that the presence of mothers is vital to children. Children usually tend to lean towards their mothers when they come across a tough situation in life since they can connect with them emotionally, and mothers are usually closer to their children. Fathers however as parents usually roughhouse meaning their job, as a parent, is to discipline the children, which mothers can do as well.
