Childhood and adulthood are two different, but equally important times in our lives. The special moments such as learning how to ride a bike, or pulling out your teeth, and ding dong ditching your neighbor's house, are all memories that come to mind when thinking about childhood. Graduating high school, applying to college, buying your first car or first house all bring back adulthood recaps of your life, and while both of these are very major and unforgettable moments apart of our lives, I’m going to talk about how similar and different these times really are.
To begin with, as an adult, I start valuing how “easy” it was to be a child when I have to pay my car insurance, phone bill, gas, and other responsibilities I have to take care of. I remember as a child my mom would give me $20 and I felt rich. Now, as an adult, $20 doesn’t even fill up my car gas tank. ...ner. Imagine for one day, we can relax completely and not worry about what we normally stress as adults, and just kick back and pretend everything is great like we once thought as children. That, my friend, would be a day I would love to live. Besides the fact that we can’t actually live that day, as children and even as adults, we still live in the same world and we can view it however we choose to.
In conclusion, even though there are definitely many differences between childhood and adulthood experiences such as the way we think now vs. before, the ways we feel, the responsibilities we carry, the way we see the world, or even how things get done whether; it’s mom cooking for us and doing our laundry or doing it ourselves since we are adults now, we can always squeeze in some minor similarities that as adults we can bring back our childhood and child-like side.
