The biggest loser is one of the reality television programs that aimed to reduce the contestant body weight and gain healthy lifestyle. From this reality television programs lot of overweight people assemble to enter this competition. If it being looked deeper with or without we realizing, obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, and all this evidence suggests that the situation is likely to get worse. In developed regions such as Europe, the United States of America, and in Australasia, the prevalence is high and increasing but in some developing countries even more extreme situations exist. For example, using World Health Organization standards for obesity, more than 70% of the adult Polynesian population in Samoa are considered obese (WHO 1998). However, what is the most important nowadays issues is the prevalence of child obesity is also increasing rapidly worldwide (WHO, 1998). It is worrying problem that the trend of child obesity had has reached epidemics levels both in developed and developing country also. Hence, our society should closely pay attention to this problem immediately with the monitoring and resolution. Obesity crisis among children leading by several factors, that causes various dimension of problem and the effective keys of resolutions are required to address this problem.

The specific methods in assessing obesity not truly established anymore and the mechanism of obesity not fully understood by researcher yet. Usually most professionals use the body mass index (BMI) as measurement of obesity (WHO, 1990). The substantial increase in the prevalence of child obesity over recent decades and its association with a number of negative health and economic outcomes suggests its strong potential as an influence on the life course development of health and productivity (Murasko, 2009). Therefore the seriousness and quick action should be taken begin at this moment to ensure that the obesity not being the public health problem anymore and our next generation free from obesity crisis. Moreover, the further and deeper examination or research on obesity also should be developing in order for better understanding of this problem and the efficient yet successful methods will be use in future.
