After taking the personality quiz, I was given the personality type ENFJ which stands for extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. There are many examples of how my personality type reveals itself in the workplace. My extroversion and intuitiveness have led me to become a retail manager, combining the influencing and sales aspects that are commonly associated with these types of personality traits. I was interested to find out that I make decisions based on my feelings about the situation more so than I rely on logic, or the facts about the situation. Lastly, I found that I am more judging rather than perceiving. Judging, in this case, means that I am hyper organized and love making lists, which did not come as a surprise. My personality type according to the quiz was very accurate compared to what I know about myself and what others who know me well have stated. All of these characteristics intertwine to make me the person that I am. Being aware of the strengths and weaknesses of my personality type, and those of the other individuals in my workplace will help to make me a more effective employee and manager. …show more content…

In reflection, this is very accurate. I have always been able to speak to many different types of people with ease. Maybe it’s an oldest child phenomenon, but I have always gravitated toward leadership roles. ENFJ’s have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship (Butt, J. 2016). I find this to be particularly true. Some of these words have a negative connotation, for example, the word manipulate makes it sound as if ENFJ’s are taking advantage of others. I think a better word would be convince or inspire. It is also interesting to note that the influencing and salesmanship aspects that ENFJ’s share have manifested themselves in my life and can be seen through my current role as an assistant retail
