With every book ever read, a person automatically chooses a favorite character. The character is often chosen by likeness in their selves, or admirable traits that a person wishes they had. In Midnights Summer Dream there are many characters that one would like the best. It would definitely be a hard decision between fearless Helena, loving Lysander, committed Demetrius, fair Theseus and admirable Hippolyta. However my favorite character from Midsummer Night’s Dream is Helena for many reasons including: her devotion, her courage and her love.
My first reason why Helena is my favorite character from Midsummer Night’s Dream is because of her devotion. Helena was once in love with Demetrius who loved her back. Then when Demetrius moved on and loved Helena’s best friend Hermia, Helena still decided to love him. Talk about devotion to love another who doesn’t love you. Helena, unlike other people didn’t get over her love. It remained with her for forever. And even though through no fault Demetrius fell in love with Hermia, Helena also decided to remain friends with Hermia. This would of ...
