INTRODUCTION

A group of people working together to achieve a common goal is known as organization. They use the resources from the environment as inputs and process them to produce outputs. Conversion of inputs into outputs is known as production function. The products are consumed by the external environment in return for the supply of input.
Information system is a computerized system which helps to minimize the work load of employees and makes their work easier while giving précised output. There are instant changes in Information Technology in the day to day life. Therefore businesses should adapt to these changes.
Information system and Business organizations are interrelated to each other. Information systems are created by managers in order to gain benefit in the businesses. The interaction between Information technology and organization is very complicated and it is influences by many mediating factors such as Organizational structure, culture, politics, management decisions etc.

Management information System (MIS) is a framework or process that furnishes data required to oversee organizations success. Management information systems are respected to be a subset of the in general interior controls methodology in a business, which cover the provision of individuals, records, innovations, and methods utilized by administration bookkeepers to take care of business issues, for example, costing an item, administration or a business wide strategy.

BACKGROUND

Nations Trust Bank was established in July 1999 by acquiring the Colombo Branch of Overseas Trust Bank Ltd. It is one of the fast growing banks in Sri Lanka today.

Disadvantage
• Smart cards are effectively harmed. Scratches from keys or different questions in the pocket effortlessly harm the attractive strip, rendering the card unintelligible.
• Insecure, if a smart card is stolen, a person's bank account can easily be breached.

Conclusion
After a discussion with the manager of the bank we were told that the solutions given will not give a immediate impact on the transactions. But according to the assumptions of the manager we came to a conclusion that the solutions given were more suitable for their problems.
The manager assumed that the use of smart cards would be a very effective solution as many people find it easier to use and the constant staff training would be effective with the employees as their systems are updated often. the manager also commended on the easy solution they need to follow.
