Now, people can go any cities in the world and meet with their friends in a few days, or they can contact with their friends immediately through internet, which sounds impossible in the past.Today, our society is not only building on population but also on technology, and that is what we call modern society.
Back to 12thousand years, there are less than 5milion humans in the world. At that time, people live in caves , and they spend the majority of their time on hunting or gathering food. As a result for it, people have little kinds of entertainment comparing with today’s, which includes dancing and singing. The change from hunt to farm need human being’s cooperation, sharing new ideas and learning skills from experts, from then on, the society

Edison made the first public demonstration of his incandescent light bulb on December 31, 1879, in Menlo Park. It was during this time that he said: "We will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles." Now, many citizens can afford using light bulb during the night ,and they can enjoy any kinds of entertainment at night because of the light bulb. Nowadays, there are more than 500billion electric lights in the world decorating the Earth at night. The number of lights at night is a standard to measure whether a country is developed or not. For example,In South Korea, the light covers almost the whole country, while North Korea has a few in the capital city. The internet is another practical use of electricity since users have to use electronic devices to browse the internet. The internet connect the world together, send the message in seconds. In the past, travel and meeting was hard, and people write letters and books to exchange ideas and thoughts. Using the internet, people can use emails, blogs, twitter, face books, and they can use +visible system to communicate “face to face”with people who are miles away through the internet without leaving
... cant even have a nice family dinner because everyone is on the phone. Now when your out in public you see everyone on there phones texting. And this is because of this era it created new technology to call people which later made people want to not talk just to send simple messages. This era has made us what we are now kids now when there 6 they have phones when others were 6 the had a rock to play with not this new technology. But that’s what people like doing they like keep moving forward they like to invent stuff that will make life easier.
The light bulb is the way we see in the dark, the way we find our way, the way we know when to go at a stoplight. How did Thomas Edison achieve this invention? Knowledge. Knowledge of electricity and the needs of those around him. In The Great Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan claims that she wants her daughter to be “a beautiful little fool.” In other words Daisy is saying that ignorance is bliss. Some others believe that knowledge is power. The advancement from candles to light bulbs changed the culture entirely. People could easily do the work they needed to after sunset, and it even led to more inventions. We need knowledge to advance, and for this reason powerful knowledge is more valid than blissful ignorance.
From the start of the human history, information traveled as fast as a ship could sail, or a horse could run, or a person could walk. It gradually began to change. At the invention of telegraph, information could be sent quicker. So communication was anticipated, it was more of a waiting period to reach to the second person. Then the second person received the letter or telegraph, sent the answer back, which was very time-consuming. Nevertheless, communication between people face-to-face was fundamental. It was as necessary as breathing, therefore back in the days, there were a lot of gatherings, and it was characterized by simplicity, friendliness, and socialness. But the technology completely changed the daily lives of ordinary people. Now days, people are more immediate.
In our present world, people understand and view gender in different perspectives, or “lenses.” The idea of gender that we see specifically in our present society today is very extensive compared to what it was years ago. We see a variety of different kinds of gender, whereas only years ago it was two: male and female. Personally, I have seen this in our society because I have met people that identify as many different genders that aren’t specifically just male or female. The word “gender” holds an important place in our language, specifically in today’s society, because it has determined who we are, how we identify ourselves, and ultimately our roles in society.
Social interaction is the very basis of social life and the foundation of society. Further growth and progress in society would not be possible without interactions between individuals. However, the presence of an individual as a function of society does not bind them into a social unit. It is when a group of people cooperate that allows society to develop. Therefore, interaction is the very essence of social process. Furthermore, communication is the medium of interaction. The ability to communicate with other individuals is an important element of human life in terms of interacting and developing our society. Individuals thrive from success through the approval of others. In communication, an individual develops from the views and opinions of another person. It is important to consider that as a result of society's development, our system of communication also changed. While maintaining the traditional way of communicating such as physical interactions, individuals turn to other forms of socializing through the use of video games and the internet.
Some people would say that society has changed. They say that times are getting harder as the years progress, and people 's ways of thinking are different from back then. Some even think that the world will come to an end based on society problems. Our generation is the future that is very lost if you ask me. So has society really changed are just is it still the same just different ways that we handle it.
The history of engineering goes back into the 19th century when Alexander Volta (1745-1827) made a remarkable discover regarding the nature of electricity (Cosgrove 749). He discovered that electrical current could be controlled and could flow from one point to another. By the time the mid-19th century came about the rules for electricity were being established. During this time electromagnetic induction was discovered by Michael Faraday who lived from 1791 to 1867 (749). Also during this time Samuel Morris invented the telegraph in 1837 which relies on the principles of electromagnetic induction (749). Alexander Graham Bell, who lived from 1847 to 1922, created the telephone which also uses electricity in order to operate (749). Through the success of the telephone, Bell Telephone Company was established. In 1878, the light bulb was finally invented by Thomas Edison who lived from 1847 to 1931 (749). Off the principles of Faraday’s electric motor from 1821, Nicholas Tesla invented a more efficient and powerful electric motor in 1888 (749). To make these inventions be more significant, effort was expended to make better motors and transformers and to enhance the power needed to make them function. Through these inventions during the middle 19th century, it led to the capability of lighting homes and cities through the use of electricity, and it also led to the creation of the telephone communication system (750).
We can reach people very easily now whenever we want to, unlike before if the person you're looking for isn't home you would have to leave a message. Are you trying to make plans with your friends? You can plan things within minutes by having a phone. Always stay connected with family and friends, staying in touch no matter where you are near or far. Phones are very helpful for long distance relationships, using video chat like Tango, Ovoo and Skype.
Social media has caused our generation to have a lot less social interactions. Instead of meeting someone and talking with them face to face social media has made it easier to communicate with someone from behind a further distance, behind a screen. Angela Fowler stated,
Light bulb is one of the most influential inventions in the word. It makes us work more productive at night and helps us enjoy more activities at night. It significantly change people lives all over the world. The born of light bulb also helped us by making more inventions that related to light, such as phones, televisions, and computes. By using light bulb, we actually reduced the probability of having fire accidents because if we don’t have light bulb, we will use candles instead which can cause fire easily. There are a lot more benefits we get from light bulb, and all of these are credited to Thomas Alva Edison.
ourselves, do we all not have control of our own faculties at this very moment?
Over time, people have changed in many ways, one being the methods to which they do things. People have evolved from cavemen into this gigantic society of people whose sole mission in life is to succeed. As people have changed, so have the technologies they use. People have gone from using telegraphs to using telephones and cellphones that only take mere seconds to communicate with someone. Society's knowledge of medicine is so much greater now than ever before; there is an immense amount of cures for several diseases, surgeons know how to transplant body parts, and we can even create artificial body parts...
He also built the Edison Electric Light Company to find a way to use electricity to light the incandescent bulbs. In 1882, Thomas Edison used his incandescent bulb in all the office buildings and houses on the Pearl Street. Many people came to the Pearl Street to see the all of the buildings and houses are light with electricity. This was a great achievement in Thomas Edison’s life. Thomas Edison became a rich and famous person.
...top or people sitting in cafes with their laptops. It's extremely sad how technology demolished any sense of human interaction. About 10 years ago, we didn’t have access to social networks or all of what the internet that currently serves youngsters. Back in the day, if you wanted to meet new people you had to go to school or to parks to find people your age who can be possible friends.
In the past, the means of communication were limited. The only means of communication was writing a letter or sending a telegram. The number of people one knew of were limited. At that time, one might not know the person living on the other side of globe but they did know who their neighbors were. They talked and interacted with each other and knew what others were going through. They communicated to less, but communicated more. Sadly, today, one knows the person who lives several thousand miles away through social media but one does not know his next door neighbor. An example of this is cited by Marche, a novelist who writes a monthly article for Esquire. Marche states, “Yvette Vickers, a former Playboy playmate and B-movie star, have been 83 last August, but nobody...
