As a teacher in the classroom it is difficult to draft ideas and action plans to connect and collaborate with the community and one’s colleagues at the work place. In theory, making time to connect with others is logical, highly informational, and effective in regards to teaching practice. However, in reality, with uninformed and untrained colleagues, it actually seems to be a monumental and trivial task. Taking this into consideration, within the Bloomfield School District, located in Bloomfield, New Mexico; networking, collaboration, and communication among teachers, students, and families are what I deem as being the most important challenges facing the classrooms, schools, and multiple teams of teacher educators, their students, and the families & communities the students and teachers represent. Creating a connection between the several communities represented is a challenge in a world I believe is more connected than ever, before. For my action research project I will focus on transferring the challenge and task of connecting educational community members to bring ideas for renewed collaboration, positive communication, and purposeful action within the Bloomfield School District and any school district, for that matter. Throughout my summary explanation of this, I will highlight the following points: the importance of making time to connect with others; the struggle of working with colleagues who have and do not have current professional development; ideas for networking, collaboration, and communication among educators, students, and family members; and the transference of challenging and exhausted attitudes to fuel renewed collaboration, positive communic...

Considering such, it would be extremely beneficial if educators could find ways to build a stronger sense of community, collaboration, and communication with either their departments or grade level teams to guide and be the direction, support, and motivation to not just get through the motions of work but to accomplish things throughout the hours of the work provided for the day. The amount of stress and anxiety that is familiar to educators nowadays is something uniting many teachers everywhere; however, not many teachers have the leadership to rediscover what makes them truly great educators. This is why it depends on the following: renewed collaboration, positive communication, and purposeful action to blend with a balanced amount of teamwork and leadership, so that teachers can see they have great resources surrounding them: themselves and one another.
