Bullying has been around for a long time and its effects on the victims of such a cruel act can hurt them in many ways. Bullying is to treat in an overbearing or frightening manner. (The Free Dictionary, 2014) Ever since I was in middle school, I have seen the kids in my school get bullied and I myself have been bullied by others. It is cruel and mean to bully someone, and it is unfair to them. People who get bullied often either do not do well in school. Or are affected in an emotional way to where they do not want to socialize with others. Bullying can be noticed and seen in different ways or types like face to face, physical, or emotional bullying, the effects vary depending on the type.
Bullying can be first spotted in middle school but is more visible in high school. The nature and effects of bullying is bad. If nobody does something to prevent this who knows how much more problems it can cause. The effect of bullying can cause someone not to do well in school, or hurt their self-esteem. The worse it can get is where the victim could resort to hurting themselves or possibly taking their life. From experience my self-esteem was not good and it also made me not want to socialize with anyone I did not trust.
One way someone can be bullied is face to face which is where the one bullying the victim goes and confronts them. Most of the time the one bullying the person goes up to the person and makes fun of the victim and talks bad about them in front of other people. Which then the victims get ridiculed by others mainly the friends of the person bullying the victim. From what I have seen and experienced personally the effects makes the victim feel hurt and humiliated. The victim then is either not sociable and tends to have trust...

So to solve this problem teachers should be more alert and watching what happens and be ready to find a way to stop it, or just help the victims understand that if they stop showing that it’s bothering them that eventually they won’t be bullied.
