At Rosthern Hospital the methadone program has been able to address the needs of the community by successfully treating many cases of opioid addiction. Nurses are able to support these patients through their treatment by monitoring their progress through the treatment. Interprofessional roles and scope of practice are respected and utilized in the methadone program. The methadone program at rosthern hospital is an example of successful interprofessional collaboration, where health care professional come together to achieve a common goal for successful patient care. Overall, the interprofessional team in the methadone program has demonstrated their own success by the successful treatment of opioid withdrawal, and by addressing the needs of a community suffering from opioid addiction.
