The reasons I want to earn an MS in Management/Business Analytics degree are that an MS in Management/Business Analytics degree will help me to tap into the growth I have seen within my current organization (Wells Fargo) for “big data” skilled employees, understand the emphasis that many of the commercial companies I cover place on business analytics for decision making, and capitalize on the expected need within my current role as a Commercial Banking Credit Analyst to find new ways to view our business.

While my MBA experience was enjoyable and has been extremely helpful, it lacked any true technical “game changers” for me. I benefited most from learning real world methodologies but my work experience combined with a MS in Management/Business Analytics degree would be a significant career boost. As I noted earlier, my organization has spent resources to attract external candidates and promote internal employees with data intensive backgrounds. These posting routinely require SAS/SQL, UNIX, Python and modeling skills. Also my research of the essential skills necessary to advance in a business analytics career, are heavily inclusive in the curriculum for the Business Analytics Track. I believe I have significant credit analysis and finance background but it has become clear to me that merging this experience with technology, methodologies and techniques is vital to staying competitive and ultimately
