From 1974 to 1978 gruesome murders took place in many different states and for the longest time police were at a complete confusion. Little to no evidence was left at the scene, missing people with no found bodies and no one had any idea what had been going on. Once police were called visible blood stains were on her bed and pillows. No trace of her killer was found. It was not until a year later that her skull was found in what was known as Bundy 's graveyard. Following her disappearance other women were also found missing. Of those almost a hundred women were Georgeann Hawkins, Janice Ott, Denise Naslund, and Brenda Ball. Every one of his victims had similar features. They had a middle part, dark hair and were all very intelligent. When any of the remains were found of these victims it was too late to identify any fingerprints or things that would help link it to Bundy. Bundy murdered women in Washington, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Florida, Idaho, and Vermont. One of his victims was lucky and managed to get away. 18 year old Carol DaRonch was approached by Bundy in November of '74 pretending to be a police officer. Bundy told her that her car had been broken into and she should go with him to file a report at the police station. Right away DaRonch realized he was driving away from the station. He then stopped the car pulled a gun on Carol and tried to handcuff her. He slipped and handcuffed both cuffs on one wrist. Carol 's quick thinking of kicking Bundy and making her way to another car. She was safe but the same night Bundy was able to trap another victim. Carol 's get away to help was able to give the police some sort of evidence to who this attacker was. She still had the handcuffs to her wrist and retrieve smudged fingerprints from them. Carol was able to give them a description of the man and his car. Days later she found her coat had blood on it and brought it back to the station and found out the blood was type O. Numerous murders have taken place throughout history and sadly, plenty of these murders go unsolved. One of these unsolved murders is the murders of Barbara and Patricia Grimes in 1957. There have been plenty of suspects, but nobody was ever convicted of the murders of the sisters. However, after reviewing possible suspects for the murders of the Grimes sisters, the true identity of the killer has been revealed as Max Fleig.
Some authorities knew about and others they had no idea that had happened. He was intelligent, articulate and handsome. During a gruesome killing spree, Ted Bundy slaughtered more than thirty five women within the span of five years, becoming one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. He grew up believing that his grandparents were his parents and his unwed mother to be his older sister. He was not very good at building relationships and had a lot of conflict with his stepfather and enjoyed the terms of violence and sex as a child. Ted shoplifted during his teenage years and enjoyed being above the law. He was generally very shy and gained a lot of popularity and self esteem in high school because of his good looks. It was there that he met his high school girlfriend Stephanie Brooks with whom he become obsessed, but the relationship did not last very long as she did not feel the same way for him so she broke up with him. Depressed by the break up, Ted dropped out of college and returned home with his family where he found out the truth about his biological mother. This left Ted in a state of confusion about his identity and he felt betrayed by the women in his life. He went back to high school where he and Stephanie got back together but right after she agreed to marry him, he broke up with her to seek revenge. After this charade his killing spree began, luring young women with lies, abducting, raping, physically abusing and killing them.

The person I chose to research was Gary Ridgway. He is also known as The Green River Killer. Gary was a serial killer in Washington. He has been convicted of murdering 49 women, he has confessed to around 60 killings, but is estimated to have killed closer to 80 women. All the women that he had killed were prostitutes that he had picked up, had sex with them, and then strangled them. He says that he never raped or tortured any of his victims, he just killed them. Gary started killing prostitutes in 1892 and is confirmed to have killed till 1998, but is thought that his last kill was around 2001. He was called the Green River Killer because his first victims’ bodies were found around the Green River.
Often, organized killers are associated with a meticulous attitude and a keen attention to detail, they are highly intelligent and well-rehearsed; furthermore, organized killers wait days (or longer) for an opportune time to kill their victims. Organized killers are able to be socially charming and “blend” in with society. Prime examples of organized serial killers are Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy. Infamously, Bundy would use his charismatic charm to persuade women into helping him while he faked an injury, he is also known for his academic success. The criminal kept on denying the charges for more than ten years and later confessed of having committed the thirty homicide crimes in seven different states before his execution (Rule, 2009). Bundy’s handsome and charismatic appearance made it possible for him to easily win the confidence of young women who were always his targets. He broke into the dwellings of his victims at night and bludgeoned them as they slept. He also approached young women in public places where he impersonated as an authority figure or feigned injury on his victim before empowering and assaulting at a more secluded area where he left them dead (Rule, 2009).

Louise moved into her parent’s home shortly after Ted’s birth and allowed him to be raised as her ‘brother’ for quite some time. Throughout history, America has been the home of serial killers, with more than 2,000 throughout history. In this country, America has encountered many different kinds of these sick people. One of the most infamous serial killers throughout American History was Theodore Robert Bundy, also known as Ted Bundy. On November 24, 1946, in Burlington, Vermont, Theodore Robert Bundy was born. When people think of serial killers, they usually see a dirty, insane looking person that would stand out from the average person. In Bundy’s case it was very different. Ted was a very smart individual who had attended 5 different colleges throughout the United States, studying law and eventually getting his degree in psychology at the University of Washington. Bundy was a very handsome and charming man, unlike most other serial killers. Looking helpless and using his good looks, Bundy was able to lure his victims and would knock them unconscious with an object such as a crowbar or a pipe, then would handcuff them inside his car. Once the victims were under his control he would then proceed in kidnapping, raping, sodomizing, and eventually killing them in very harsh ways. Throughout the 70’s, he raped and murdered young women all across the country. Bundy was said to be connected to at least 36 murders, and suspected to have committed one hundred or more.

He was raised by his grandparents who portrayed themselves as his parents throughout his early childhood years. According to the article I read Ted’s grandfather was abusive towards Ted and his other siblings (Montaldo). Ted was shy and said to be sociably awkward, but during high school he developed into good looking guy and was liked by many.
