It was christmas eve all the decorations where up and everyone was in a christmas spirit, and outside it was snowing I was looking out the window when i saw a dark figure it was big, and it looked like it had a box on its back I went outside to have a closer look and there it was a white horse with a carriage attached I walked a little closer and it started to back up so i stopped not knowing what to do so i slowly walked towards it and took the reins and brought it back to the cabin, the cabin in the winter looked so peaceful with the snow all around at the christmas lights hanging from the roof with a wreath on the door and at the back a little sable theres where I walked the horse as i was leaving i saw i little note attached to his saddle it read “Tippie” i guessed that was her name. The next morning was christmas and when i woke up the first thing i did was take some grains and bring them to Tippie but she wasn't there i started looking around where could she have gone? And how did she get out?? I started walking around trying to find her and as I was about to take another step i hear a something like breaking glass or ice right them i fell through the ground and down and huge tube and everything blacked out when i woke up i was in what was like a huge ice cave there where icicles hanging from the ceiling and the ground was hard as rock and i was freezing not knowing what to do i started walking around, how was I gonna get out of here if i didn't i would die down here! I kept on walking thinking maybe i would find something but i didn't id been down here already for at least a few hours what was i gonna do?! I went to the place i thought i landed after falling and started yelling but everyone was away no one would have heard ...

...as she pointed me down the road and she told me once you got to Red st to take a left and it would be 2 doors down so i followed he instructions and walked into the police office where I told the police officers everything they told me to lead them to where i was held. So i did on the way here i never actually realized how long on a ride it was, it took us about two to three hours when we finally got to the house all the police hid around the house and on the count of three they all ran in so fast that no one had time to escape.
They had caught everyone! Apparently that this house was from the late 1800's and was said to have precious gems somewhere in the house and those men where trying to steal them! The police thanked me for telling them. After a LONG LONG horse ride i was finally home and i was so happy after being away for one month i was finally home and safe.
When individuals face obstacles in life, there is often two ways to respond to those hardships: some people choose to escape from the reality and live in an illusive world. Others choose to fight against the adversities and find a solution to solve the problems. These two ways may lead the individuals to a whole new perception. Those people who decide to escape may find themselves trapped into a worse or even disastrous situation and eventually lose all of their perceptions and hops to the world, and those who choose to fight against the obstacles may find themselves a good solution to the tragic world and turn their hopelessness into hopes. Margaret Laurence in her short story Horses of the Night discusses the idea of how individual’s responses
The founders of the pony express are William H. Russell, William B. Waddell, and Alexander Majors. It traveled from St.Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California. The route along the Pony Express began at the Platte River, next Fort Bridger, then to the Great Salt Lakes, and finally to Sierra Nevada. The route was a total of one hundred-ninety four miles.- They switched horses every ten- fifteen miles.With one hundred- ninety stations the Pony Express covered the rough terrain fastly.
The car would not go, and none of the electronics in the car would work either. We were just sitting there in silence. All I could think about was how we were going to get out of this terrible place. It was as if our life was flashing before our eyes. Suddenly the radio turns back on. Jingle bells is playing and the music was turned up as loud as it goes. Immediately we all scream. We were all speechless and didn’t know what to do. Jingle Bells only played for a short time and then the radio just went to static. It was as if we would never get out this
Before 1860 it was virtually impossible to get a letter or other form of correspondence from St. Joseph Missouri to Sacramento California in less than 20 days. 20 days seemed entirely too long for the west coast merchants and bankers to wait for documents from the east. So three men, William Russell, Alexander Majors and William Waddell created the Pony Express. The Pony Express ensured fast and safe delivery of the mail.
When they finally found me the next morning sleeping in the barn I thought for sure I was going to be beaten within an inch of my life. I was utterly amazed when they beat me lightly and were told to take care of me so as not to become ill.
I then realized I was taken to some sort of place, I heard creatures screaming, I began to panic, I was scared I wanted to know where they were taking me, I was put into some sort of warm log and I saw thousands of creatures before I was put in there and they were scary. All of a sudden it got quiet and I was taken out of my log I was held in the air to do my sage, I didn't know why I looked around and saw only creatures. The huge and well dressed creature said, “It is Spring” I was wondering, my the creature said that, but after the celebrations was over and before he put me back in my new home, he said today was Groundhog day it is a celebration with you if you see your shadow we will have 6 more weeks of winter and if you don't we have spring that's how I became Punxsutawney Phil and don't forget to see me on Thursday, February 2 I hope to see you
...make that phone call—all that stuff. I also gave him my address, which I couldn’t remember right now, but I did back then. The officer then said that some firemen with axes would be coming. I waited and waited and waited and blew 10% of the battery on playing “Tetris” on my brother’s phone In about an hour or so, I heard some banging on the door and then a large hose completely obliterated the pile of rocks that originally seemed so large and unbreakable. And yes, the hose felt like an earthquake, which unhappily reminded me of my experiences in a trapped apartment The firemen sent me back outside, where I used the almost dead cellphone to call my brother. He was so scared that somebody found his cell phone that he thought it had been a prank call. He was very relieved when he found out that it was just me. In fact, both of us were happy just to see each other again.
I went in to the front lounge and sat on the sofa, all of a sudden I was floating in this black void, I was in complete darkness but I could still see my arms and legs, I could here a voice calling, a cold eerie voice but I didn't understand it.
Movies are a great way to take a break from your hectic life and just relax. Movies have been entertaining you and everyone around the world since the mid 1800’s. The evolution movie went from black and white pictures to color and sound to finally 3-D film. Directors, artists, and inventors took hundreds of years to just perfect putting the one by one captured pictures in a fluid motion to make a ten second movie. So, just think about trying to create the 3D effect or even how movies were created.
My friend’s mom worked for the sheriffs department, so she called and I filed a report. Guess what they made me go back home. Yes, they sent me back home, because I was consider a run away. Therefore, for a week I was brutally beat for telling the secret of our family. That week was the week I wish I was dead. I prayed every night for God to take me away. I was grab by my neck and slammed up against the wall and released as I slid down the wall. A nail caught my back and ripped my skin ...
“Ah! Somebody call the police this guy just stole my purse!” a random woman screamed. As I remembered, my cousin works for the police at Pembroke Pines, so I called her and told her to come very fast; there was burglary going on. She got the there in less than a second. Everything happened very quickly; she got the burglar and gave the woman her purse back.
Within the story entitled The Rocking Horse Winner by D.H. Lawrence, the audience is divulged into the sordid family life of a adolescent boy named Paul, where there are three obvious morals told through the story’s style and symbolism. Also present within The Rocking Horse Winner are elements of supernaturalism and cold harsh reality.
As I was driving down the road I saw red, and blue lights going off behind me, so I turn on my turn single and turned to the side of the street and parked my car. I saw the police officer getting out of his car and started to walks towards me, my hands were getting all sweaty and clammy, my stomach was in complete knots and I couldn’t figure out if I was going to vomit, or just pass out. I heard a knock on my window, and I rolled it down.
My stomach began to growl. My obstacle was ahead of me which was the elevator, sweat dripped down my forehead. What have I got myself into I thought? , Why didn't I just tell my family that I didn't want to go on this ride. I began to hear screaming, from the previous riders I wanted to turn back but it was too late. It was my turn the elevator was filled with 6 seats in each three rows, my feet walked to the seat closest to the bars by the elevator. As soon as I could try to figure out how to keep myself calm a “ghost “ outside the elevator appeared. I saw a familiar face, then I thought back to the intro, “ it's the family member who disappeared “ I whispered to my dad. After I saw the ghost my heart beat faster and faster, I was usually scared of bugs,but today it was ghost. The elevator moved closer but before I could look to see the ghost the elevator dropped leaving my stomach with butterflies. Clear circular tears dripped down my face I couldn't believe this, my sister said this ride wasn't bad but I realized that this was the worst memory I will remember at Disney. As soon as I thought the ride was over another scream came out of my throat. I knew another drop was gonna come, I didn't even care anymore. I closed my eyes as I felt all the drops make my butterflies
I angrily slammed my food tray on the floor and said get out. The marshal who had helped save us had just arrived and as he came in he got his gun ready to fire. I told him he had murdered my parents and my sister. The marshal just laughed and then with a boom out came a bullet straight for my head. I ducked dodging the bullet. Then from the back entrance came another man holding a hammer, he reluctantly fired at my head until he knew for a fact that I had lost my memory.
