Caring for the Community…One Pizza at a Time

Running a franchise of a restaurant, any restaurant, as a franchisee is hard work. Not only are you responsible for providing for plenty of hungry customers that walk through your doors, but you are also responsible for all of the workings that allow this to happen. Managing teams of employees, purchasing supplies, finances, store appearance, and menu items are just a few of the many things that go into running a successful Cottage Inn franchise. Each of the items previously listed and more are vital to producing good food and happy customers, which are what I believe are the keys to success in running a restaurant. In placed where there there are students, there are families, and in turn, plenty of people that I could reach out to with my Cottage Inn franchise. With rich Greek and Italian heritages that embrace family making up the flavors of Cottage Inn’s food, reaching out to families would be important to me as a franchisee, and I would do this through the schools. To accomplish this, I would use an outreach program, to provide occasional treats to and recognize students for outstanding achievements. For example, students who make the honor roll on their report cards or to all students at the end of the school year, could be provided with a coupon to receive a complementary small pizza in recognition of their …show more content…

For both, in turn, students would be encouraged to keep good grades and conduct for the chance to earn a reward sponsored by my store. I would even encourage employees to make it special if a family with a child came in to redeem their reward by commending the student for their hard work, reaching them and their families in the community. Schools are not the only place that the community can be reached out to, as there are plenty of other organizations that serve great purposes in society. Non-profits, such as youth organizations, scout groups, cancer charities, missionary groups, and churches are just some of the groups that exist to make a difference on the lives of people in the community, that are always looking for funds.
