Twenty years from now, I would like to be married, own a house, and have children of my own. Thirty years from now, I would love to be putting children through college and being financially able to provide for them fully in that aspect.
My avocational goals include having fully and single-handedly developed a major program beneficial to people in my local community or even globally. Following my retirement, I hope to be enjoying time spent with my wife, children, and grandchildren as the value of time spent cannot be measured. I want to live somewhere warm, but not too warm and will work for a major corporation of some kind in software development or network
I aspire to become a leader in my family and community inspiring those around me to maximize life to its fullest potential. To use my God given gifts and talents to apply the principles necessary, to make a significant difference in the lives of others. To live a balanced life challenging myself intellectually as well as allowing time for my mind to rest and do things I enjoy. To look at life through a child’s eyes, not being distressed about the past or worrying about the future. All the while dancing like nobody’s watching.
My only life time ambition I have for myself is to be able to help each and every individual who comes my way needing help, becoming a social worker, a foster mom, and to adopt a child with Down Sydrome. I know and understand that my dreams might be a bit over my head for the average person, but I will accomplish them. At the end of my life when I am old, have gray hair, and my eye sight is even worse that it is now, I want to look back at my life knowing I was able to help everyone I possibly could.
The path I have taken toward obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management, and Economics, with a concentration in Marketing, has been different than I expected when I first started college. I started at Brooklyn College at 17-years-old and frankly, I wasn’t ready for it. I struggled to balance an awkward schedule of classes and inconsistent study habits. I never felt completely comfortable there and after two years of performing poorly, I enrolled at Kingsborough Community College. I viewed it as a new start and seized the opportunity. I decided to major in Business Administration; I made the Dean’s List, and saw my grades improve dramatically. After completing 74 total credits, I decided I was ready to return to a four-year-college. I initially considered returning to Brooklyn College but at this time my grandmother had become ill. I applied to the College of Staten Island which was near her home and would make it possible for me to help her out with whatever she needed and attend school locally. This worked out great for my first semester. I carried a 3.47 GPA and decided to major in Business, with a concentration in Marketing. At this time, I was working part-time while in school. But due to certain circumstances, I was forced to obtain a full-time job in addition to other part-time commitment. This made it very difficult for me to enroll in classes as most of the upper-level marketing classes that I needed for graduation were only offered during the day when I would now be working. I enrolled in night and weekend classes for the next two semesters but my grades began to suffer. In the last semester I tried to register at the College of Staten Island, I couldn’t fit the courses I needed into my ever-growing w...
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...

I have an MD degree, Doctor of Medicine, and now I would like to further specialize in Clinical Anatomy, a sub-discipline of medical science. Fortunately, through the American Association of Anatomists’ website I found a list of graduate programs in anatomy available in the United States. As an adult, I have numerous personal goals. Most importantly, I would like to own a home. Ideally, I will have a couple of degrees, a steady job, and lots of travelling experiences. In regards to health, I hope that poor mental wellbeing does not burden me to the extent it does today. Whether I decide to take the appropriate steps for professional help or I have an epiphany that provides me with the necessary motivations in life, I want to be free from the strain mental illness causes. Hopefully, the future holds a sempiternal desire to make suitable lifestyle choices. I do not want to be overweight, unhealthy, and unhappy in 20 years. Throughout my lifetime, goals have always been a determining factor in the way I approach my day. Whether it be making the middle school talent show, or getting a good score on a test, goals have always been there to push me forward. Now that I have entered college, my long lists of goals have been a little more specific. Unlike before, I now acknowledge the specific strengths and weaknesses I have when reaching for them. For this school year, I have come up with three very important goals that I believe will help strengthen and make my first year in college a little more memorable. This year I will use numerous strategies to become better at effective speaking, reading difficult texts, and have a deeper knowledge in the engineering field.
Another category of goals would be personal goals. Getting married, starting a family, and publishing my first novel would all be considered personal goals.
