Jimmy Carter once said “I think all Americans believe in human rights and health is an often overlooked aspect of basic human rights.” I 'm here to discuss how the career of a registered nurse can be very significant in our community and society, majority of registered nurses contributes in healing the world through the concept of studying new and advanced improvements in medicine and medical technology, However I always thought that being a registered nurse could help improve the world we live in today through the act of reaching out to those who need help physically, mentally, and emotionally. Therefore the career of an RN is a remarkable career, because this career is able to keep individuals healthy and immune.
Registered nurses have general duties, specific duties, clinical hours, required hours, and unusual work hours/ conditions. The majority of the duties that nurses is required to perform are very lengthy, time consuming and also tiring depending on the work environment and conditions. physical exams require nurses to conduct a physical assessment which integument, head analysis, eyes and vision, ears and hearing, noses and sinus, thorax lungs and abdomen and extremities. Integument analyses the skin, hair and nails of the patient, basically an integument analyses the identification of the patient through their physical being and rather they are healthy or not. My research paper is on the healthcare occupation, in particularly,the field of licensed practical nursing, also called licensed vocational nurses. In my paper, I will cover such things as the definition of career choice, certain requirements, the expected job duties and responsibilities, any additional licensure that is required. After discussing these topics, I will then point out the potential of finding a job, the ranges of salary, as well as the environment I would be working in. Finally, I will talk about the potential growth in this field and legal requirements. Now i will start with the definition of my career choice.
The American Nurses Association (ANA) developed a foundation for which all nurses are expected to perform their basic duties in order to meet the needs of the society we serve. The ANA “has long been instrumental in the development of three foundational documents for professional nursing; its code of ethics, its scope and standards of practice, ands statement of social policy.” (ANA, 2010, p. 87) The ANA defined nursing as “the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations” and used to create the scope and standards of nursing practice. They're some patients that will come in and be rude, but as a nurse you must be able to look over stuff like that.
