What are your career and/or personal objectives, and how did you arrive at them? My career and personal objectives are to earn a doctorate in Physical Therapy, run cross-country, and to continue excelling in music. These goals are important to me because I get to serve others, make a difference in my community, and also for the ability to push myself every single day. Pursuing Physical Therapy will allow me to interact with individuals that are seeking help, and doing so through fitness as a daily attribute. Running and playing the piano, on the other hand, has given me the ability to learn what it’s like to have a yearning for self-discipline and hard work. The goals I have set for myself are those of which will lead to a life of happiness, and dignify my family by taking the steps needed to obtain a doctorate in Physical Therapy. To …show more content…
Having a family friend who was paralyzed from the neck down, and put through intense therapy, opened my eyes to the world of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Not knowing which field was meant for me, I took matters into my own hands. I decided to volunteer at Aaron’s acres, a camp for children with disabilities, to get a better understanding of the environment as an Occupational Therapist. This volunteer opportunity, that helped others, gave me a new insight on what it’s like to work with individuals struggling to surpass an alteration in their life. The first week of this camp, I was placed with an individual who is hearing impaired and has autism. Not knowing how to communicate to this individual, I was inspired to learn the basics of American Sign Language to communicate to not only him, but also to other American Sign Language signers. As a result from this camp, I shadowed an Occupational Therapist and learned an abundance of information regarding this occupation. However, while I was shadowing I felt as though there was another calling in my
I have many goals as an Athletic Training Student, and continuing my education is the biggest goal in order to be successful in my career and future goals. Eventually, I will earn a doctorate and go on to work at a professional level with a major league soccer team. I also aim to increase the knowledge and awareness of mental health within the field of athletic training.
Part of my passion for the field of physical therapy stems from my profound curiosity of the human body. I am infatuated with the overall mechanics of the human body, and its ability to perform such actions. Similar to the human body I too am unique and possess great skills, and just like the body I am far from perfect, but I am confident that I possess the ability to succeed in this program as well as this field. To reach success, one must possess the ambition and desire to accomplish their lifelong goals and dreams, granted that the path to success will be full of hardships. I choose to apply at the University of St. Augustine because I feel that this program will aid in the pursuit of my career goal of becoming a licensed physical therapist. As previously stated, success is not warranted by chance, it must be earned, and I do believe that I possess the drive, ambition, and competency to succeed in this

According to Benedict the XVI, “The world offers you comfort. You were not made for comfort, you were made for greatness.” This is a very appropriate motto to illustrate what I plan to do through my future career. I will go above and beyond as a physical therapist to encourage patients to surpass their comfort zones to reach their ultimate potential. With a focus on prevention, I plan to empower patients through education to maximize movement and thus optimize their quality and enjoyment of daily life.
My career goal is to specialize in cardiology or neurology after majoring in biology for my undergraduate years and work with an organization that specializes in either one of those two fields. My life aspirations are to continue to gain more knowledge and excel in a career where I can be financially stable. I love learning; I love it when I learn something in one class and I am able to connect it to the concepts in another class or apply it to life in general. To me, learning is a lifelong process. However, I cannot describe how many times wonderful opportunities were available for me, but I could not take advantage of them because of my family 's financial circumstance.
My mission statement is that I want to become a physical therapist so I can use the gifts God gave me to serve others and to worship God in serving. Before I can accomplish this I need to set out goals for myself, both long term and short term goals, and attain those goals and make those steps towards my mission. My short term goals for this physical education project are to become stronger, stay active, learn new sports, and improve in old sports. To accomplish these short term goals, I need to work out or play sports at least twice a week and at least forty minutes at a time, at least an hour if the activity is a group sport. When I work out I need high intensity with low reps, and to strive to be competitive if I play sports. To accomplish

I am excited to gain an abundant amount of knowledge and will diligently study and comprehend all reasons behind the methods. For now, I plan on learning and perfecting my care techniques during my time in graduate school. By putting on my white coat and setting foot in my future settings, I will allow these aforementioned values to guide my practice and ensure that I am delivering the best care
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some

What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.

Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school.
