Canadian Improv Games and Aesthetic Experiences

Aesthetics can be a hard term to fully comprehend as well as trying it can be difficult acknowledging an event is an aesthetic experience, such as the Canadian Improv games. Attending an event that is new to a person can be very scary along with h abrupt, but is you prepare for the experience, let your emotions do the talking, and reflect on how the experience itself broadened your view a person should have no problems with contemplating on attending the event a second time.
Prior to attending the Canadian improv games I used the internet to search for the rules, watch videos, also they may consider trying to find the correct way an improve scene is supposed to progress, because understanding an art-form prior to attending will enable a person with the appropriate knowledge along with etiquette they will need to attend the particular event. I gave myself ample of time to do research on improve and what was most likely going to be presented from the schools competing. I first looked at the rules for the Canadian Improv games, which were very simple: A group ranging from 6-14 students will create a story according to the theme they are given by the hosts along with being guided by a suggestion that collaborates efficiently with the theme they were given. That was very helpful to read as well as very easy to understand. Now next I started searching for rules on improve in addition I happened to come across what is considered the golden rule, that being “yes”. This rule made sense, since if an actor was to say no it would render the scene dull and still with no real motive to progress, but I was not convince that you couldn’t say no, since some offers could be so boring that the receiver of an offer could start a bargain so I con...

...d with drama my whole life. In my experience I just never explicitly focused on improvisation, just what the script was telling for me to do. Sad but true, I was deprived of such a aesthetic learning along with the ability to experience the world aesthetically, which was expressed in our weekly readings for class by: Wellington J Madenfort.
The aesthetic experience of viewing the Canadian improve games was well worth the time out of my life it took to attend. I successfully broadened my horizons, as a result I can now add improvisation as an art form I have witness in its appropriate place, my comfort zone. After the experience I have planned on trying to search for new event along with performances that are no to me and I have not yet seen, since In my opinion, the only way to show growth is to be consistent and take those small steps out of your comfort zone.
