Net income attributable to Hyatt was $62 million, in the third quarter of 2016, compared to $25 million, or in the third quarter of 2015. Adjusted net income attributable to Hyatt was $61 million, in the third quarter of 2016 compared to $42 million, Hyatt has expanded their global operation across the world. The famous brand image along with efficient global account management, so far Hyatt has achieved great success in the hospitality industry. Their success has created a strong position in the Asian market, owning hotels in more than 10 nations. They use the base of continuous improvement principles to facilitate change on a constant and progressive basis. They have an impeccable reputation for TQM. They not only meet the customer’s expectation they go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations. The Hyatt core brand offer’s the highest hospitality services to a targeted market consisting of business travelers and upscale Hyatt ran a significant amount of small hotels, and according to their vision statement they are not necessarily looking to expand the size of their hotels but rather to improve their reputation and service. On the other hand, Marriot is a company that has large hotels and different types of lodging facilities. It is evident that the mission statement from the Marriott is very general and too broad, almost to the point of being impersonal. Although it is bold and ambitious as an enterprise, it does not address the three most critical components that a mission statement is set to do. Their mission statement could apply to numerous hospitality companies and many others companies as well. On the “about us” page of their website, there is no clear intent of purpose and little development with. Although it may be correct to say that the statement is easy to understand and remember, there should be evidence of a declaration with a practical application. That functional element is lacking and raises a question of how employees should satisfy the goals that are stated. Ultimately, the course of the corporation seems unclear or at the very least
