The Acceptable Halt on Unacceptable Treatment

The high school years of a students life has its pros and its cons. It can often times be stressful and overwhelming, but high school should be some of the most fun filled and memorable years of a teens life. There are clubs to join, sports to participate in, prom to attend, and many more fun activities. High school, however, does have a major con, which is bullying. Bullying can be acts of violence such as fighting, or it can verbal such as name-calling, spreading rumors about someone, and a number of many more harmful actions or words towards a person. Whether it is cyberbullying, physical bullying, or verbal bullying; it is not acceptable at all to say the least bit. Since bullying continues to grow as a major issue in schools, administrators need to start enforcing stricter rules and work to create an environment where every student will feel safe
Students should want to come to school to receive their education and see all of their friends. If students are getting bullied and they do not feel safe, then they are not going to attend school regularly. If students know that their school environment is safe and that there are people that they can trust to talk to, then they will want to come to school because they will feel safe. When teachers and administrators are working to create a safe environment, they need to be positive. They need to have a positive attitude and a positive outlook on bullying in their school. When students see their teachers being positive, they will also be positive. Also, to create the positive environment, the school must put to use their disciplinary system for students that bully. To put a halt to bullying, students must be punished for their actions if they get caught bullying another
