What is bullying? Bullying is the act of aggression and bad behaviour that involves emotionally and physically harming other individuals. Nowadays, it has become a serious matter and growing concern all around the world. This is because bullying in school has become more common. This leads to various drastic consequences especially affecting students critically because bullying can ruin their life. Unfortunately, statistics of bullying in school remains high. A report from the National Centre showed that one out of every four students reported being bullied in 2015. Other statistics also showed that bullying in school is ingrained, approximately 16000 teens skip school every day because of bullying and 1 in 10 students drop out of school because of repeated bullying. These statistics is frightening and worrying as students are vitally important to the country’s future. This situation urges immediate actions to be taken. Everyone should play a vital role to solve the problem. First and foremost, students should stand up when a bully is teasing, insulting or physically threatening them. They should tell the bully that they are uncomfortable with the treatment. At the same time, the victims should …show more content…

When the students are facing bullying in school, they should have a talk to their school administrators instantly. So the school administrators such as school principal can end bullying in school as soon as possible. They should take action to punish or advice the bully. Apart from that, school administrators can set up a bully hotline. Students can use this hotline to report bullying case which happens to them. A ‘bully box’ which enables students to drop a note in there to alert the school administrators can be prepared by the school administrators. This can increase reporting of bullying and help school administrators to take some actions before the bullying cases
