Bullying is a repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological aggressive behaviour by a person or group directed towards a less powerful person or group that is intended to causes harm, distress or fear (education.vic, 2014).

Bullying is a harmful misuse of power where peer victimisation in school-based environments can have devastating consequences for students, where bullying has the capabilities to induce psychological distress and even to cause physical impairment to individuals – and in the worse case scenario: death from suicide (Rigby, 2016).

Victims of bullying can result in such emotions like anger, shame, anxiety, and isolation. Where therapy supports these victims by showing notice, care, and processing these painful feelings, can work towards ridding the negative effects of bullying affecting their health and well-being. A trained therapist can help a person understand such coping strategies like assertive communications (a treatment for such conditions like depression, social anxiety – this therapy improves interpersonal skills and sense of self-respect). In the therapy, the client delves into the understanding of their bullying behaviour and its impact on others, exploring the reasons and motives behind their behaviour, and in turn how to change their communications skills to a positive note. Often bullies have unresolved personal conflicts that contribute to this behaviour, and addressing and identifying these issues with a qualified therapist can help towards ending this unwanted behaviour they are projecting.

As our group was interesting in collecting our own results we chose to conduct a multiple choice survey which was made through an online survey making called survey monkey (shown in appendix 1). Once we had completed the survey each group member shared the through social media (shown in appendix 2). In result of this, we received 65 responses, which we then made into the graph to use in our presentation video.
