I believe that inside every person who is bullied there is a strength and a tenacity to survive. You don’t always know that this strength exists, but if you make it through those dark times, you become aware. You become a survivor, someone whose courage and spirit is far stronger than all of the hate and cruelty of their bullies. The one thing that I want to impart to children with autism is knowledge of their own inner strength, and the belief that one day at a time, they, too, can get through this. (Amy Gravino)

They consider the biggest problem pertaining to bullying is cyberbullying. Social media can be a good thing, but most the time students use it as a tool to harass other students. One source even states that “bullying can be good for the students”(unknown). Being able to stick up for oneself can keep you from doing damage to yourself, but not all students have the power or skills to fight back or stick up for themselves. “Mutual dislike” can be a positive thing in making friendships and developmental skills emotionally and healthy. In other words, some researchers say that students having a harsher attitude towards other students could be a healthy way to go through school. What is the true definition of bullying?
The actual definition of bullying from researchers is any act or use of superior strength to intimidate or force someone else to do what you want them to do. It is not unusual for students to get bullied, especially autistic students.
