Brave New World Social stability can be the cause of problems. After reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, we are informed that “Bokanovsky’s Process is one of the major instruments of social stability!” Now is it worth it? Is it worth the sacrifice? Questions like those are addressed throughout the book. Huxley wants to warn us of many things, for example the birth control pill, the way that we can colon ourselves and many other things. He wanted us to know that many of the experiments that they do to the caste in Brave New World, we were later going to do investigate more ourselves or start doing them to others. It states “The Savage’s face lit up with a sudden pleasure. ‘Have you read it too?’ I thought nobody knew about that book here, in England.” (Huxley 218). The meaning of these quote is that it shows us that there are people who would keep secretes from one another and is shock to find that there are close citizen to them that know something related to that. Although one example is Mustapha Mond. As the World Controller he makes up the rules on what the world state has to do, he doesn’t follow them himself. Now this is true, but if we take away individuality then we would be taking a great big part of us that defines us as a person. Brave New World is a great example of how social stability can affected different castes members and get them lost.
