The book of Genesis 1-11 gives us a teaching and lays a foundation for the truth that is expressed later in the bible as it makes an assumption that God is the creator of the universe and all it holds. The scriptures in this books gives an expression of God as being just, love, wrath, holy and grace. This scripture enables us to understand how we should view the world and God’s part in the creation and the recreation of the whole universe. In the scripture, God formed the universe in six days. This is evident by the words that are used. For example, in the scripture, Moses uses the word “Yom” to mean day. In the book of genesis, God shows us that he gave us the gift of relationships by the creation of Adam and Eve. Eve was created from Adam’s rib. In Genesis 2:24, it says, “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and they become one flesh.” In this, we are able to see the joy of being in a relationship as Adam and Eve live in peace and harmony and they do things together. It however gets to a point when Adam and eve sin. This is the time when trouble is thus sent down to the earth and in the scripture this is seen as being the genesis of all problems (Brueggeman, (2010). When they are questioned by the Lord God, Adam puts the blame on Eve and hence Eve goes ahead to blame the serpent. This thus depicts what happens in the world today. We as human beings do not take responsibility of our own problems. After the fall of Adam, we have always put the blame on anything and anyone for all our shortcomings we always avoid the responsibility of our problems but we normally go ahead to find a way out of the consequences thereafter (Cassuto, …show more content…

This gives us a glimpse on how these came into place right from the beginning of life itself. Is we are believers of God as well as the Bible, then we should allow these teachings to give us a guidance in our lives as well as shape our world view. In this case, how we treat each other, relationships such as marriages, who we are as human beings as well as evolution should thus be affected and be based on these teachings. The Bible shows its clarity to the believers of the Word of God as it helps us understand right from the beginning, step-by-step about the love that our good Lord has for us all. It is thus my greatest prayer that we can handle all the situations in life as well as treat other people in a way that is pleasing to
