Pregnancy succession can range from first time success to never having success at all. Many western religious groups of people view child conception as a gift of God, and believe all babies conceived should be born. Despite the fact, whether the parents are ready to take on all the extremities of parenthood or not. The miracle of God known as infant life varies from gift to curse depending on the type of environment the newborn is brought into, as well as if both parental figures are ready for such a lifetime commitment. Pregnancy is viewed as a blessing, but sometimes abortion might be the better option.

As of 2015 in America, “About half (51%) of the 6.6 million pregnancies in the United States each year are unintended”(Unintended Pregnancy in the United States). While not all unintended pregnancies are by one specific group of people, parents who practice western religion that have unintentional pregnancies must drop everything to take care of the baby. Regardless of other commitments they have, school, work, or any other extracurricular activities they must stop all and redirect their entire lives towards the path of parenthood. The environment and attitude of both parents directly impact, “The young child. Baby is dependent on adults for physical survival, emotional security, safe base for learning, regulating, modeling and mentoring social behavior. His caregivers impart all the information about the workings of the world and rules for living.”(Nurture) From the time of birth, babies begin to mature mentally, emotionally, and physically. Babies attitude throughout life will be molded forever by their first few years of life, and within the first years of life is when parents are most influential, their attitudes towards each other as well as their child will forever set up the mindset of the child. How the parents chose to keep their environment around baby during the first few years of life will determine how their child will act during the rest of the childhood stages and will shape the outlook of their baby as curse or
