This artist has done many works of art that some people just may not seem to understand why it was made. Some people find an interest in certain paintings while others may not find that exact attachment to the painting like others. I have chosen to write about this artist because of the many and beautiful arts of work he has created through many years. Although some I may not find a meaning to or why he would make a piece of art the way he did, they still seem to catch my attention to some.
Van Gogh was born in Groot-Zundert, Holland on March 30, 1853. Vincent Van Gogh was born into a family of religion and strictness. His dad was a pastor in town. Van Gogh’s mother, Anna Cornelia Carbentus, was the daughter of Willem Carbentus. Her dad had bound the first Constitution of Holland. The name Vincent was given to him by his parents because a year prior to his arrival, his parents had had another son whom they tragically lost at the time of his birth. Vincent was the youngest of two brothers and three sisters. Of the two brothers he had, Van Gogh was more attached to his brother Theo. Vincent Van Gogh was brought up in a religious environment. Sometime between the years 1860-1880 he decided he had wanted to become an artist. Before this, he had other jobs that he did not succeed at which included a clerk at a book store, art salesman, and a preacher in the Borinage, a district in Belgium. During Van Gogh’s stay in Belgium, he was attending school to study what he had always wanted, art.

... attend boarding school in the Netherlands. Vincent Van Gogh’s first art professor would be Constanijin Huysmans. She was a professional artist who would end up teaching Vincent Van Gogh basic drawing and composition. During 1869-1873, Vincent Van Gogh worked for an established art dealer named Goupil & Cie, in the town of Hague. Vincent than later worked in London and Paris all the way up to the year of 1876. He was fired during that year because he was showing lack of commitment to his job and the customers. After losing his job, Vincent would then travel to England to become a minister’s assistant. Once again Van Gogh would then leave his job and move to England to attend the University of Amsterdam to study theology for about a year. Van Gogh did try to follow in his father’s footsteps, but was let go after a year for “undermining the dignity of the priesthood”.
Vincent Van Gogh is one of the world’s greatest and most well-known artists, but when he was alive he considered himself to be a complete failure. It was not until after he died that Van Gogh’s paintings received the recognition they deserved. Today he is thought to be the second best Dutch artist, after Rembrandt. Born in 1853, he was one of the biggest artistic influences of the 19th century. Vincent Van Gogh created a new era of art, he learned to use art to escape his mental illness, and he still continues to inspire artists over 100 years later.
Her work resembles fossils and botanical illustration pages at the same time. Her simplicity and willingness to give back to her community is also an attribute I admire of her. Her work is important because of it has been used a medium to convey precious memories through the preservation of flowers. This artist inspires me because of her mastery of such a simple technique to create beautifully simplistic, yet intricately detailed works. This is an aesthetic I hope to achieve in my personal work because of my love of detail and organic shapes, such as flowers. It is amazing how she has achieved such wonderfully detailed and organic shapes using a medium that I never thought to be used in such an organic
The painting caught my attention due to the message I received when I first laid eyes upon it. It illustrates a wise old man teaching an eager to learn young boy. I have been fortunate enough to have my very own replica of this painting in my bedroom and I have spent countless hours
... previous jobs to convey a welcoming and educational message in his work. He makes his art clear, educational, and unconventional to express his individuality and help children in their development. Had it not been for his first couple of jobs, the teacher that showed him the banned painting, and his love for children he probably would not be the memorable artist that he is today.
...owing us with her great works. She has led a driven and captivating career. While she has received much controversy in her time she has managed to continue creating great works. She is widely acknowledge, and so far through out her life, has made quite an impact. Her love of nature and in it’s importance is rippled through out all her work, mostly in the freedom of her later works. Her ability to maintain balance between her love for architecture and art, has helped to make her stand out in both crowds. Her sculptures will please viewers for centuries to come.

It is important to keep in mind that Van Gogh was born exactly one year after his brother, also named Vincent, was stillborn (“Vincent Willem”). This odd situation most certainly led to some of Van Gogh’s mishaps later in his life. Also, Van Gogh’s own mother was an artist, yet she never encouraged art in her children, nor did her or her husband support Van Gogh when he decided to study and practice creative thinking (“Vincent Willem”). Van Gogh’s father was a minister, and he and his siblings grew up in a very religious home, which led to some of Van Gogh’s life choices and also to some of his misfortunes along the way (The Van Gogh Gallery).

Vincent was an influential post-Impressionist painter born in 1853, Netherlands. With Theo van Gogh’s association, Vincent met reputable Impressionist painters such as Émile Henri Bernard and Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin. Impressionism served as a platform for Vincent in developing his own style . He explored with colours, a stark contrast from his usual dark and sombre style. The influence of Japonisme charmed Vincent into residing in Arles where he began painting landscapes. Thereafter, Vincent voluntarily checked into Saint-Rémy sanatorium where his works reflected strong colours and lights of the countryside around him. His manic depression and epileptic condition, led to his suicide on July 27th 1890.
Octavio Ocampo also pays incredible attention to detail. Each brush stroke is precisely placed on the canvas. The paint is mixed to the perfect hue on his palate. None of his colors are muddy, his paintings are vibrant. This is why I chose Ocampo. I am part of a large population when I say that his works inspire me. Each time I see one of his paintings, I am captivated. It is beyond my realm of creativity to explain his genius. I contacted a woman in Sedona by the name of Aliahd who deals his art (Visions Fine Art Gallery.) She told me that she had met him at one time and was touched by his humbleness. At the same time she could see his vibrant brilliance simply through his words. It is this same brilliance which shines through in all of his works. That is why I chose Octavio Ocampo.
Vinci Van Gogh was born the eldest of six children in a small remote village in the south of Netherlands. At the age of 16 he became apprentice to his uncle’s art dealing company Goupil and Co. Vinci worked at Goupil and Co. London Branch from 1873 to May, 1875 until he moved the Perish Branch which lasted till 1876.
