Standing at six feet four inches tall and treating all people equal was an honest president named Abraham Lincoln (“Abraham Lincoln Biography”). He had two nicknames that were “Honest Abe” and “The Great Emancipator” (“Abraham Lincoln Biography”). Abraham Lincoln never prized the idea of slavery; therefore, on January 1, 1863, he freed the slaves that were in the confederacy (“Abraham Lincoln”). He achieved a massive goal by winning the Civil War (“Abraham Lincoln”). Lincoln was a proud father to four children (“Martin 2, 16, 18, 26, 42, and 82”). Being honest, winning the Presidency, standing against slavery and putting his life at risk proves Abraham Lincoln dies an American patriot.
Being a father of four boys is not an easy task, because they can get rowdy and ferocious. When Abraham was eight years old, his dad moved to Indiana from Kentucky and Abraham had to move to (“Abraham Lincoln”). In Indiana there were gobs of untamed animals and that is where he lived most of his life (“Abraham Lincoln”). Lincoln’s mom died when he was only nine years old (Westenberg)! Later, after his mom passed, his dad got married to Sarah Bush Johnson (Westenberg). Sarah always encouraged Abraham to read (“Abraham Lincoln”).When Abraham was older he could only read, write, and cipher (“Abraham Lincoln”). Abraham dated Anne Rutledge, but she died when she was 22 years old (“Abraham Lincoln”). At 22 years of age, Lincoln had to live on his own, because his dad moved away (“Abraham Lincoln”). In 1842, Abraham Lincoln got married to Mary Todd on November fourth (Weinberg 105, 106, and 108). After Mary Todd and Abraham got a divorce he got married to Nancy Hanks (“Encyclopedia of World”). Abraham Lincoln will always be remembered for all his loyal qualities and everything he has changed for America. His house was open for tours in 1887 (Westenberg). Abraham will be remembered for setting the slaves free while being the tallest president America has ever had (Martin 2, 16, 18, 26, 42, and 82) (“Encyclopedia of World”). Having a big sense of humor is a great quality for Abraham Lincoln to of had (Martin 2, 16, 18, 26, 42, and 82). He always told jokes and he liked to tell stories (Martin 2, 16, 18, 26, 42, and 82). Abraham Lincoln seemed genuine and I think it would have been extraordinary to have met him. Achieving things that matter and doing the right thing will let you be remember.
