Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are two famous men who have to do with computer engineering, but do they actually have different attributes in common? Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are both wealthy businessman, who made a fortune out of products they have invented, created, or improved. Although, Bill Gates is the creator/ founder of Microsoft he had competition. Steve Jobs, who was the creator/founder of Apple was competing against him to become the number 1 leading electronic industry. As a kid, Steve Jobs was an unstable child, he was very wild and thought school was useless until 4th grade. That year Imogene “Teddy” Hill was his teacher, he was soon obsessed with school(his teacher bribed him with candy bars). He skipped the 5th grade and went to Crittenden Middle School (Moisescot). Steve Jobs wasn fond of school until late elementary, the person that got him interested was his teacher Teddy, who had a way of persuading him(candy bars). Bill Gates on the other hand liked school from the start, he loved reading and was very well educated throughout his years. Steve Jobs was very interested into electronics in his childhood, the way he was introduced with this type of engineering was by his dad. When Steve Jobs was young he was fascinated by mechanics. He and his father would building electronic devices in their garage. This experience is what drove him to have more interest in mechanics (TheFamousPeople.com). Once Steve Job’s dad had introduced him into electrical engineering, he was fascinated by what he could create. Instead of developing an interest in electrical engineering early on, Bill started to understand mechanics later on in life than from his childhood. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs grew up in completely different conditions than one another. First of all, “Bill Gates grew up in an upper middle-class family with his older sister, Kristianne, and younger sister, Libby.The Gates family atmosphere was warm and close, and all three children were encouraged to be competitive and strive for excellence”(Biography.com). “The Santa Clara county, south of the Bay Area, became known as Silicon Valley in the early 1950s after the sprouting of a myriad of semiconductor companies.
