Cincinnati Bearcats The ironic thing about the three teams that in the predicted top 3 of the Big East is that each team lost their starting quarterback from a year ago. So, to me it makes the most sense to trust Zach Collaros to lead the Bearcats this year. Collaros lead Cincinnati during the time that Tony Pike was injured. His ability to run makes both him and current running back Isaiah Pead a problem for defenses. Returning wide receiver Armon Binns looks to prove his talents after a successful year last year lurking beneath the shadows of star receiver Mardy Gilyard who was selected in the NFL draft. Cincinnati was one of the higher scoring teams in the league last year and Collaros will continue this trend. New head coach Butch Jones will know attempt to lead this team to first in the Big East. Prediction: 1st Big East Pittsburgh Panthers Though Pittsburgh brings back Dion Lewis along with quite a few of their starters from this past year, Quarterback Tino Sunseri holds uncertainty. The potential for Pitt is great this year and their defense can lead them to the first place position. Dion Lewis is prime for another great season, but if they become dependant upon him, Cincinnatti will be a better team. The game on December 4th against the Bearcats looks to be a great game as it will be reminiscent of this past years game that was played in the frigid cold as well. Unless Sunseri can consistently play well, Cincinnati will edge the Panthers for first. Prediction: 2nd Big East West Virginia Mountaineers While the Mountaineers will return several players on both sides of the ball, they lost quarterback Jarrett Brown and wide receiver Alric Arnett in the offseason. Quarterback Geno Smith will like... ... middle of paper ... ...ntinue their positive efforts on run defense as they were one of the better teams in the country last year in terms of run defense. They haven't named their starting quarterback for this year, and Doug Marrone doesn't have the experience to coach this team into a positive season this year. Prediction: 7th Big East Louisville Cardinals While the Cardinals return their starting quarterback Adam Froman and their two primary running backs Powell and Anderson, they won't improve much from last year under new head coach Charlie Strong. Adam Froman didn't have a great year last year and there won't be too much room for improvement. The Cardinals defense wasn't awful last year, but it wasn't great either. Losing 5 of their starters won't help much. The Cardinals are rebuilding right now, so don't expect to see a big year out of them. Prediction: 8th Big East
No college wanted anything to do with Chris Herren, except coach Jerry Tarkanian at Fresno State University. Chris got a chance to start over, however was reluctant to leave his family and friends and move over three thousand miles away. His fiancé Heather talked him into the offer,...
The Steelers overall have many strengths that should last throughout the entire franchise of the team. Even when having a short down year, the Steelers are never in rebuilding mode. When a team can go nearly forty-five years without many rebuilding seasons, it shows that the franchise as a whole from the owner, players, coaches, and fans is run the right
back to the championship and winning it against the cardinals just like before when they beat
We tried to find out how certain basketball statistics affect winning percentage for a NCAA Division I basketball team. We used the entire NCAA division I 1999-2000 season statistics. We considered the following statistics: Field Goals, Free Throws, Personal Fouls, Turnovers, 3 Pointers, Blocks, & Steals.
Do you like professional football? Have you ever wondered where teams originate from? Or what teams have been around the longest? The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional team that has an extensive history. There are also many unique details about them that other NFL teams do not have. There creator was a great man who started the team from practically nothing, their name and logo represent great tradition, and lastly, they have won many championships.
Finally, I am going to talk a little bit about the offense specifically the running backs and quarterbacks. The two QBs, who are very important in most parts of the offense, especially offense, were Mark Sanchez (2010) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (2016). To start you can see that Fitzpatrick completed 56% of his passes while Sanchez completed 54%. So at first glance you would think that they are equal in ability to play. They both have the same capability to advance the ball down the field when it comes to throwing. If people just look at things they would ask why was the offense in 2016 worst than in 2010? If you look at touchdowns and interceptions, they are flipped. Sanchez threw as many INT as Fitzpatrick did TDs and Fitzpatrick threw as many TDs and Sanchez did INT. This means that Fitzpatrick gave the ball to the team more than Sanchez did, this is important because the long the Jets offense has the ball the more likely they are to score and less likely to let the other team score. Also this statistic means
Predictions like these can be really obvious even though we are so far away from the preseason. How easy would it be for anyone to pick Fletcher Cox, Jordan Matthews, Ryan Mathews, Malcolm Jenkins, and Sam Bradford for a list of impact guys to look out for? For this reason, I chose five guys who we should be paying close attention to

The Philadelphia Eagles are an historic team and theirs lots of history to prove that they are a team that will go in the history books. The Eagles are more than history they are the future of NFL and theirs lots of facts to prove that they aren't a fairy tale they are the real deal.
Though, this season suggests that the Preds have struggled against their divisional rival, that's not entirely true. While they have struggled to surge back to the level of success and consistency they had leading to that 2015 run, there's still been plenty of positives. Leading scorer Ryan Johansen has been added to their team since then, along with defensive wonder P.K. Subban.
An athlete’s college career is something seldom used when determining the best players at each position to play professional football. To seriously distinguish between whether Manning or Brady is the best quarterback of their generation their college careers must be carefully examined. Manning, a farm-boy, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 24, 1976 ("Peyton Manning Career Biography and Statistics | SportHaven.com"). His father attended Ole Miss, where he is very well known, but Peyton, when making his decision chose to attend the hated University of Tennessee. As a Tennessee Vol, Peyton Manning, not only set records, but also posted astronomical numbers. He won his first start as quarterback, 10-9 against Washington State, and lead the team t...

The Seattle Seahawks located in Seattle Washington, is one of the top teams in the NFL. The Seahawks were founded in 1976 and are owned by Paul Allen. The Seattle Seahawks haven't had it easy, it's been rough ride throughout the years. There have been many coaches and many players have passed through the Seattle team. There are some very special people that the Seahawks truly treasure that aren’t players or coaches out on the field. They treasure the 12th man. This allusive 12th man isnt a player out on the field, it's the fans. Even though the 12th man spirit didn't start in Seattle they are loud and proud about it. Seattle has some of the loudest fans in the league. They are so loud that they get earthquake readings at Century Link Stadium, they call the earthquake reading "Beast Mode." This season(2013-2014) they have a very tough lineup, they have "Beast Mode"aka Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, Golden Tate and the amazing coach Pete Carroll. The Seattle Seahawks have been a very successful team in the 2013-2014 season. The Seahawks have a strong defense which has been a key part in their success this year. The Seahawk’s offense hasn’t been bad this year either. They have some very strong player that contribute to their success. Their offense includes: #3 quarterback Russell Wilson, #24 running back “beast mode” Marshawn Lynch, #89 wide reciever 1 Doug Baldwin and #81 wide reciever 2 Golden “Showtime” Tate. Without this strong offense and strong defense the Seahawks wouldn’t be where they are today.
