Beyond the Climate Crisis It’s not secret that the human race is harming the planet. People cut down forests, release toxic gases into the air, and dump pollutants into the waterways. It’s a way of life and some of these activities are actually necessary to carry on civilized life. Nevertheless, there are ways to reduce harmful effects on the planet, and the human race is actually making progress in reducing emissions and replacing the trees that are constantly cut down. However, not all options are being pursued. Reasons for this go beyond the general skepticism of global warming and the like. There is both economic and political favorability in environmental negligence, and behind every one of these reasons, one simple truth comes out: it’s simply easier to harm the planet than to protect it. Because of this one statement, most businessmen and leaders of the world (with a few exceptions) completely ignore climate change. They will not listen to the constant droning telling them to “go green” or to “reduce their carbon footprint”, so a stronger message needs to be sent. Images are much stronger to the human eye than words, and people will begin to listen and to change their way of life. Whether it has to be done for future generations, the protection of the world’s wildlife, or maybe to stop islands from being swallowed up or lush grasslands from turning into deserts, something has to be done about the environment, or the planet is doomed. One of the most visible and well-known effects of humans on the planet is pollution, the systematic release of greenhouse gases and toxins into the air.
