I will discuss what are the pros and cons of using food that is genetically modified.
GMO is a science that creates a combination of plant, animal, bacterial and viral genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods. Scientist Paul Berg created the first genetically modified animal back in 1972. Since than there have been many advancements in the GMO field, one of the advancement is genetically altered food products. The first genetically engineered plant was created in 1983 and is beginning to affect many of the products we consume on a daily basis. As the number of GMOs available for commercial use grows every year, the Non-GMO Project works diligently to provide the most accurate, up-to-date standards for non-GMO verification.
The Non-GMO project is a not-for-profit that is dedicated to protecting and promoting a non-GMO food supply. But opponents for GMO continue to fight and protest the safety of any GMO’s and are we truly ready for them, currently agricultural plants are one of the most frequently used examples of genetically modified organisms, ...

However, because genetic engineering allows for direct gene transfer across species boundaries, some traits that were previously difficult or impossible to breed can now be developed with relative ease.
So, will GMO’s help us in the end? Even though there are tons of studies showing both the pro’s and cons of genetically modified organism we are not completely sure of the effect of the chemical effects of the GMO and the earth itself. Once we change a composition of the earth the way we know it can we come back from it or will the world be completely destroyed.
Can the human raced be saved at this point? In my opinion we would have to make some drastic changes in the way we live in order to improve the world in which we live.
