Computer Virtualization
Many people and businesses do not have enough money to buy hardware for every single instance of an operating system that they need. It is cheaper to buy high performance hardware for one computer and then run several operating systems on one machine. To do this, virtual machines are necessary. Virtualization is vital for people and companies that need to run multiple operating systems economically.
A virtual machine is a simulated computer that runs on a physical computer, the host. For example, a host computer running windows 7 would be able to open a virtual machine or machines acting as their own computers. These virtual machines can be running the same or different operating systems and can be allocated different amounts of the physical computers hardware. Virtual machines still have the same minimum system requirements as physical computers so it is important to have a powerful host computer (Angeles).
Virtual technology is important because it allows users and companies to efficiently run multiple computers. Virtualization has different benefits for different markets. For home users, virtualization allows people to run a virtual machine as a quasi-sandbox, or a contained operating system, of their computer in order to test new software, different settings, and to check for reliability with each. It is better to do this in a virtual machine because a backup can be made of the machine before testing. That way, if something goes wrong a user can simply delete the corrupted virtual machine and start over. With a physical computer, it would require a hard drive format and a reinstallation of the operating system. Another benefit to a home user is the a...

Citrix’s XenDesktop is a more customizable solution for desktop virtualizing than Horizon with View. It is similar in that it has the ability to virtualize 3d graphics, can be used on desktops or mobile devices, and that it centralizes management. Beyond this, it provides support for adding contractors and partners access to various features of XenDesktop and allows devices that users bring from home access. Another stand out feature of XenDesktop is that it allows for offline client virtualization. This means that users can still access their desktops when not connected to a network.
Virtual machines operate based on the computer architecture and functions of a real or hypothetical computer, and their implementations may involve specialized hardware, software, or a combination of both.
This approach is significantly better than the traditional way, in which a company buys rackmount servers, and networking equipment, as virtual hardware can be repurposed and reused, unlike physical hardware, where new servers have to be bought when the app needs to be scaled to handle a higher load. This approach can also be used to have multiple low end machines work together to get the processing power and storage of a high end computer for a much lower price. Networking, in particular, costs much less money as everything is virtual and there is no physical networking hardware, and OpenStack creates a mesh-like network.
For that hardware virtualisation is more beneficial to handle all servers together and provide data from data centre of server to user virtual desktop.
Virtualization is a technology that creates an abstract version of a complete operating environment including a processor, memory, storage, network links, and a display entirely in software. Because the resulting runtime environment is completely software based, the software produces what’s called a virtual computer or a virtual machine (M.O., 2012). To simplify, virtualization is the process of running multiple virtual machines on a single physical machine. The virtual machines share the resources of one physical computer, and each virtual machine is its own environment.
First reason for that is it allows us to add capabilities to physical system. And because of that we merge computing and communication with physical process and it brings us many benefits, like system will be more safe and efficient, the cost of construction and operation will be reduce and we can build a complex system that provide us a new capabilities. Other advantages are: we can get fast way to ensure safety in various real world processes, we can ensure efficiency, it will improve the quality of life for countless people, etc.
Abilities and services which can access through basic mechanisms that promote use by heterogeneous client platforms like smartphone, laptop, or even other devices.
Computers have had a major impact on today’s society. In this current day and age, imagine what it would be like if we didn’t have computers. Not given much thought, you can easily see it would be totally different. Almost every business, school, and even home has a computer. What would we do without them?
The first machine to fully support virtualization was IBM’s VM. Virtual machine (VM) encapsulates an operating system and application in one unit. Virtualization provide an ability to run entire VM including its own operating system i.e. guest operating system on another operating system i.e. host operating system.

Being one of the new up and coming technologies of today, we hear about virtual reality all over but sometimes don’t even know what the term really means. Virtual reality is “a technology that allows the user to go beyond the computer screen and enter a three-dimensional, computer-generated world (Virtual Reality Resources).” In other words, virtual reality is the users interacting with the computer and actually becoming a part of what is happening in the imaginary world, bringing it to life. It is actually a simulation of some aspect of the real world that is basically interactive (Tate).
There are many type of VR with different user interfaces and present reality in a characteristic manner, concurrently utilizes the Pc to investigate identified data and to communicate with Pc created virtual objects.
The fundamental idea behind a virtual machine is to remove the hardware of a single computer and make it a self-contained operating environment that behaves as it is a separate computer. Essentially, the virtual machine is software that executes an application and isolates it from the actual operating system and hardware. CPU scheduling and virtual-memory techniques are used so that an operating system can create the illusion that a process has its own processor with its own (virtual) memory. The virtual machine provides the ability to share the same hardware yet run several different operating systems concurrently, as shown in Figure 2-11.
So what is virtual reality? It is sometimes referred to as immersive multimedia, it is a computer-simulated environment that can simulate some physical presence in places in the real world or imagined worlds. Most current virtual reality are primarily visual experience displayed either on a computer screen or through a head-mounted display. Some simulations include additional sensory information such as sound, tactile information or force feedback in medical, gaming and military applications. Furthermore, virtual reality covers remote communication environments which provide virtual presence of users with the concepts (Wikipedia, 2014).
Virtual Reality allows designers and developers to create an experience that is not real, but gives the effects and the experience as being real, hence, a virtual reality! There are many ways in which this can be used such as for games, simulations, training, experiencing a distant location from the comfort of your home and so much more.
Virtual reality may not have thrived in recent times due to several misconceptions but with advancement in knowledge and technology, it is beginning to shape our world and making life more enjoyable. In the nearest future, virtual reality is moving to change the way we communicate, shop, experience, view and even do business. Having said all that, what is virtual reality? Virtual reality is a technology that alters the perception of humans through virtual systems. The brain is being tricked into perceiving the virtual as reality because it appears so real.
